Love is friendship.

Love is support.
Love is checking in.

I used to push myself β€” often right to the point of exhaustion.

I told myself I didn’t have time to rest, and when I did slow down my mind would fill with all the things I β€œshould” be doing instead.

What I know now is this:
Rest is okay.
You are worthy of rest.

I’m learning to listen to my body (and my mind) and to rest when it asks for it β€” not only when I’ve reached breaking point.

I’m still learning this lesson. I still sometimes have to gently talk myself out of feeling guilty when I rest. But I am getting better at it.

Pushing yourself to exhaustion isn’t the path to success.
Allowing your mind and body to reset is how you create more clarity, energy, and sustainability β€” in life and in work- Tori
