🌸 Blooming Together at Maitland ENCORE 🌸

Yesterday our Maitland ENCORE group was joined by Lauren from Heart of the Hunter, who brought such warmth and wisdom into the room 💗

Lauren gifted each participant a beautiful dahlia from 500 Flowers, guiding the group through a dahlia-inspired seated meditation and meaningful discussion around yoga therapy, healing, redefining strength and learning to bloom together

“Like the dahlia, we are not defined by the season that tested us. We are defined by our return to bloom.” 🌸

Thank you, Lauren, for such an inspiring and memorable session. Our ENCORE women continue to show us what resilience, strength and community look like 💕

A fascinating new study reveals that women who wore rose essential oil on their clothes for just 30 days experienced remarkable brain changes. MRI scans showed a significant increase in gray matter volume across the entire brain, highlighting the potential power of natural scents in enhancing neurological health.

Gray matter plays a critical role in memory, decision-making, and emotional regulation. Boosting its volume can improve cognitive function, mental clarity, and overall brain resilience. This simple daily habit of wearing rose essential oil may offer a natural, non-invasive way to support brain health.

Science continues to uncover how our senses impact the brain in profound ways. Incorporating rose essential oil into your routine could be a fragrant, enjoyable method to enhance cognitive performance and mental wellness. Small, consistent actions can create measurable, transformative effects.

There's a waiting room full of people trying to fix themselves for crimes they didn't commit.

The woman whose husband screams at her is researching communication techniques. The kid whose parent ignores them is learning emotional regulation. The employee whose boss humiliates them is working on building resilience. The friend whose "best friend" manipulates them is practicing boundary-setting.

Notice who's not in therapy? The husband. The parent. The boss. The friend doing the damage.

They don't think they need it. Why would they? From their perspective, everything's fine. You're the problem. You're too sensitive. You're overreacting. You're the one who needs to change.

And you believe them. That's the twisted genius of it. You're the one showing up to therapy at 6 PM on a Tuesday, paying money you don't have, trying to figure out why you can't make it work with someone who's actively destroying you.

The people who need therapy don't come. But the people who do come? They leave different. Stronger. Clearer about what they'll no longer tolerate.

And sometimes the only revenge is healing.
It is becoming someone who won't be their victim anymore.
It is walking away and building a life where people who refuse to look at themselves can't touch you.

I had the honor of speaking to 13 incredible women in the YWCA Encore Breast Cancer Exercise Program in Maitland today. 💗

Having six friends who have faced breast cancer, I’m deeply passionate about supporting women in recovery. I shared about the benefits of yoga therapy for healing and lifelong health , helping with mobility, lymphatic support, nervous system regulation, trauma, grief, relaxation, better sleep, and rebuilding strength with compassion.

These women are not just recovering, they are redefining strength.

It was especially meaningful to gift each lady a dahlia from Susan at 500 Flowers, who has also walked her own breast cancer journey. A beautiful reminder that even in hard seasons, we bloom and we bloom together.

So grateful. So inspired. 💕🙏🌸
