groups, schools. Everyone is welcome to join in. Teams - How does it work? Teams of 10 – 15 people register on-line www.relayforlife.org.au Each team member pays a registration fee of $25. Teams set a fundraising target and plan activities in the months leading up to the event. Team members take to the track ensuring that any team member is on the track at all times for the next 24 hours in a Relay style. Its heaps of fun!! Select a team name and theme. There are awards for the most funds raised, best costume, decorated campsite, most sun smart team, best banner, most original baton, and most laps completed. This adds to the fun of the event and creates a carnival atmosphere. Camping
Teams pitch their tent and camp for the duration of the event. Cancer never sleeps and the experience of this overnight event provides a small insight in a
cancer journey. Ceremonies
Celebrate – in the opening Ceremony we celebrate the lives of cancer survivors and those living with cancer
Remember – as the sun goes down we remember the loved ones we have lost to cancer by placing candle light tributes around the track
Fight Back – the Closing ceremony reminds us to take action and make changes in our lives to fight back against cancer. Entertainment
Relay For Life is a community event and invites local performers, musicians, school choirs, dance schools, playgroups to get involved to provide entertainment
and fun activities for the participants and visitors. How YOU can help! Cash sponsorship and in-kind support enables the committee to keep the event cost to a minimum. Please speak to a committee member for more information. Committee Members
The aim is to have many doing a little, rather than a few doing lots. Relay For Life has a tried and tested format to ensure a successful event. We are looking for interested people who want to make a difference by offering their
skills and expertise to help stage this inspirational and rewarding event. The roles are many and varied, to find out how more please speak with a committee member. Volunteers
A team of helpers are needed in the lead up to, on the day and to assist with the clean up. If you can offer a few hours we welcome your support. Survivors and Carers
