Unravel with Rach: Gentle Stretch Sessions The Unravel Team humbly teaches on Wadawurrung Country of the Kulin Nation (these lands are known as Victoria, Australia) I am not a psychologist.

Please adapt all poses & sequences to suit your body – in essence ensure ‘non-harm to self’ the Ahimsa Principal in Yoga - strangely I have found many yoga teachers seem to forget the Ahimsa principle and can come across as militant, this is one of the many reasons why I created this very gentle practice. Please listen to your body and go at your own pace. Currently we offer a 1 hr session on Mondays at 1.30pm in the Bayview Room at Portarlington Neighbourhood House (PNH)💛 We offer very gentle intuitive compassionate slow-flow hatha-based yoga, we begin in Savasana (lying down) and finish in Tadasana = Mountain Pose (standing up) 💛 adapt every offer to suit you 🧡 Zero experience required 😊 Contact PNH to book & pay, 87 Newcombe St, Portarlington VIC,

My videos are imperfect & raw, I move through the sequences faster than I would in my actual practice, ideally move very slowly and gently through each sequence (and from one sequence to another), and ideally hold each pose for at least 5 breath cycles; ‘breathe in – prepare, pause, then breathe out – surrender to the healing release of the stretch/pose’. We all need to embrace gentleness & imperfection, especially me......
Let me show you how to take a moment for yourself, I’m not enforcing deep reflection, I’m not pushing a strict mantra... I’m offering you some space and a little time to step outside of your world.

To ensure everybody’s safety, all participants need to be able to transition from standing to floor & up again 💛 adapt every offer to suit you 😊 Contact PNH to book & pay 🤩 It's wise to arrive early to create your own nurturing nest. 🌱 These sessions continue throughout school breaks, it is only when the venue is closed or unavailable that there is a cancellation 🪺

Daily Ocean Moments at Portarlington are postponed due to dredging .The dredging is taking sand from the Pier, where the Ferry docks, and pumping into the main beach opposite the new toilet and cold-shower block. It is not advised to get in the water atm. It is creating an unpleasant smell and making the water black and murky.

Our Story

Please adapt all poses & sequences to suit your body – in essence ensure ‘non-harm to self’ the Ahimsa Principal in Yoga. Occasionally Rachel is away, so best to check by contacting her via SMS 0417557011. Rachel guides individuals through a restorative nourishing, very slow and gentle practice. It’s ideal to know if you are coming as Rachel aims to keep the group size under 10 participants. Please listen to your body and go at your own pace.

Rachel Antonik Gentle Movement Practitioner

Rachel combines her knowledge & experience of 15 years of Acute Nursing, 7 years of Circus performance & the rehabilitative aspects of Yoga & Pilates to guide you through a restorative, nourishing, gentle movement practice. She encourages individuals to adapt every exercise to suit their body.
