Allow me to elaborate…
1. …But this isn’t a reason to get upset or lose faith. The more detail and specifics you have for your dream, the easier it will become to create it. But if your plans are altered by circumstances out of your control, then make an adjustment and keep going!
2. When you become aware of a growth area, it’s normal to feel a bit saddened by its existence. But take encouragement from the fact you can now take action to improve! I learned some useful skills to improve my focus and discipline this year, and I’m still working on them, but I saw solid improvement much quicker than expected.
3. I know my coaching could help the majority of people. But not everyone is ready to take the look in the mirror required to move them forward. I’ve come to accept this now, and love people for where they are, rather than have expectations of them to be further along in their growth.
4. We build more walls, limits, and restrictions for ourselves than anyone else imposes on us. It’s often scary at first to leave your comfort zone, but once you take the leap… you wonder what ever held you back in the first place!
5. This year, through conversations with my psychologist and coach, I discovered the fear I was living in around romantic relationships. I held beliefs that they made my life harder, that they took away from my passion and drive, and I was scared of the pain and suffering if they ended. Now that I’ve been able to free myself of that fear, my life and love have flourished. I’ve met an amazing person who values growth as much as I do, and supports me in my passions, as I do for her. Every breakthrough I have had since being on this journey has caused me discomfort in the short term, which has then been totally eclipsed by rewards I’ve received afterwards.
This year had more wins than lessons, but I’ve really enjoyed this process of reflecting, to refocus for next year!
What lessons have you learned in 2022??
