Your mental health matters, and small actions can make a big difference. Take time to nurture yourself and prioritise your well-being. Here are some ways to care for your mental health:

1️⃣ Check in with Yourself: Reflect on your emotions daily. Journaling or simply pausing to breathe can help you connect with how you’re feeling.

2️⃣ Move Your Body: Regular physical activity releases endorphins, boosts mood, and reduces stress. Even a short walk in nature can do wonders.

Plan Ahead: If you sense that the time is approaching, start planning early. Address legal matters like wills and advance directives in advance to alleviate stress later on and ensure a smoother transition.

Gather Information: Don’t rely solely on healthcare providers for information. Take the initiative to seek out the details you need regarding your loved one’s care and the steps ahead, so you can make informed decisions.

Strategic Time Management: Be mindful of the hospital or care facility's schedule, such as when medical rounds occur, so you can ensure you're present during key moments. Plan your time off work strategically to be there when it matters most.
