Congratulations Phillip!

We're excited to celebrate another proud moment within the HEDSS team, with our valued support worker Phillip recently making his Centre Men's debut in the NHRL competition.

What made the occasion even more special was sharing the field with his son Reuben, who also made his debut alongside him, a truly memorable and meaningful experience for their family.

Phillip's dedication, both on and off the field, reflects the commitment and passion he brings to his role every day.

Around the world, millions of people live with disabilities, yet too many websites, apps, and digital experiences still create unnecessary barriers. Accessibility isn’t just about compliance; it’s about inclusion, usability, and respect.

The focus for Global Accessibility Awareness Day is simple: get more people talking, thinking, and learning about digital access and inclusion.

For businesses, it’s also a reality check. If your website or digital platforms aren’t accessible, you’re not just excluding users, you’re limiting your reach and impact.

We’ve been busy behind the scenes at Hunter Ethical Disability Support Services 👀

We recently filmed a walk-through of one of our Supported Independent Living homes in Thornton and let’s just say
 things didn’t go exactly to plan.

Emma absolutely stole the show on camera, while we did our best to keep things “professional” behind the scenes (😅). The bloopers? Honestly, they might outshine the final video.

But here’s the important part, Emma is looking for two incredible housemates to join her in this beautiful home. And if this video is anything to go by, you’ll definitely want to meet her.
