Happy New Yr 2025. Fishing Bribie Island

Hey there,

Hope you’re doing well! Just wanted to share a quick update from Bribie Island. We’ve had loads of rain lately, which has definitely put a damper on fishing. The fresh water has changed the water levels and flow rates in our rivers and streams, making it tricky for fish that depend on specific conditions.

But don’t worry, the weather is looking perfect now, and it’s a great start to the new year! It’s interesting to note how rain can impact fishing—heavy downpours can wash pollutants and nutrients into the water, affecting quality and food sources for our fishy friends. Plus, changes in temperature and oxygen levels can really shake things up for them.

Let’s keep an eye on these effects so we can improve our fishing game moving forward!

What a fantastic day to be back on the water! 🎣 last Friday, we had the pleasure of fishing at Jacobs Well and Cabbage Tree Point under the beautiful sunny skies. ☀️ thought for sure we'd snag some fish.

While the catch might have been a bust with zero fish on our line, the vibrant bird life around us made up for it. It’s days like these that remind us of the sheer joy of being outdoors and embracing nature.
