Footy Week Fun! 🏉
This week the children are getting into the footy spirit by making their very own jerseys! Using squares of coloured paper, the kids are pasting together patterns in their favourite team colours. This hands-on activity is a great way for them to celebrate Footy Week, show off their team pride, and practise their fine motor skills while having fun.

At Helen’s Disability and Daycare Service, our little learners marked Jeans for Genes Day by decorating denim cutouts with fabric paints and bright designs. The activity encouraged creativity while raising awareness for vital research supporting children with genetic conditions.

Science Week Fun!
Our white lilies turned yellow and red after “drinking” coloured water. A simple experiment that shows how plants move water through their stems like magic in bloom!

During the month of July, we celebrated NAIDOC Week at Helen’s Disability and Daycare Service!

The children loved creating dot paintings, exploring the meaning behind the patterns, and hearing stories from Welcome to Country by Aunty Joy Murphy and Lisa Kennedy. A painted emu egg given as a gift that connects us to the tradition of storytelling through art.
