Today we said a sad farewell to Kat , our beloved lead in all things admin and reception. Off to a new fashion buyer job, we know that you will knock their socks off (pun intended). Our loss is their gain, as you are compassionate, competent and motivated and we know this will be a new chapter in another adventure.

We hope you know how much we have loved working together and how much we appreciate you going the extra mile for people who walk through our doors.

We’re so glad we got to have a proper send off last week. Wishing you all the very best!

Menopause isn’t the end – it’s the becoming.

The changes of menopause are still hidden behind a veil for many.
Though it’s heartening to see the increased discussion…

That changes can be more than hot flushes.
That perimenopause can begin long before your periods stop.
That if symptoms are bothering you, there is support and options for care.

There are also profound deeper changes occurring during and beyond this time, that you don’t hear much about.
Not all of it is scary.
Much of it can be empowering.

For it is a time of shedding of identities that no longer serve us.
Of letting go of the masks we wear and the people we think we are meant to be.

During perimenopause and menopause, many find themselves a-sea in a turbulent time of transition.
But on the other side can be a more grounded, real and strong version of an authentic you.

Like any period of growth, this can be intense.
But it’s not all doom and gloom. There is another side.
And there is support during the journey.

So, here’s to World Menopause Day 2025.
And most importantly, to the becoming on the other side.

If the journey is getting too bumpy, we are here to help.

At Juno, we believe women’s health begins at puberty — not at motherhood, not at menopause, but at the very start.

We want to change the way girls and women experience their bodies.
To make it normal to seek care early.
To make it normal to be supported through cycles, bleeding years, fertility and hormonal change — side-by-side, generation to generation.

Because it’s not normal to feel terrible.
Because symptoms are messages, not inconveniences.
Because we are all worthy of receiving support.

If you know a girl or young woman who needs care,
we are here.

Physical activity can help reduce symptoms like mood swings, stress and support your overall health. One of the easiest ways to get active is to find an activity you enjoy; whether it’s walking, dancing, or stretching. You’re more likely to make it a habit if it brings you joy and joy is a great antidote when we’re struggling emotionally.

Doing an activity with a friend is highly recommended, especially during life's big transitions when people can become more isolated.

Activities with others provide much needed social connection and also accountability to help keep you going. Juno is preparing new opportunities for group activities - watch this space!

Hot flashes and night sweats can be a part of perimenopause and menopause. Each woman is different

Helpful tips can be: wearing breathable fabrics, layering your clothing, substituting cool, refreshing drinks for alcohol and that extra coffee can help.

There is also evidence for the benefits of meditation and breathwork. You might also want to discuss hormonal support with your specialist Juno GP to see if it is the right choice for you.

For more support and to discuss your options for relief, talk to one of our expert women’s health GPs.
