✨ January & February Team Wrap-Up ✨

The start of the year has been a busy and exciting one for our team! Because it’s our first update for 2026, this wrap-up includes both January and February — and there’s been plenty happening behind the scenes.

Here’s what our team has been up to:

💪 Lara completed HYROX in New Zealand — an incredible achievement that combines endurance running with functional strength. What a way to kick off the year!

🏥 Miranda joined the Musculoskeletal Board of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. This is a fantastic accomplishment and a reflection of her leadership and commitment to advancing musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

🤝 Tonya and Chris have been out in the community visiting local surgeons, strengthening relationships and ensuring we continue providing collaborative, high-quality care for our patients.

🎓 Josh was awarded a scholarship through his hospital role to complete a 12-week course, Implementation and Innovation in Health Care, through Monash University. We’re excited to see the knowledge and ideas he brings back to the clinic.

✈️ Claire has been travelling abroad — we can’t wait to hear about her adventures (and we’re sure she’ll return refreshed and inspired!).

📚 Andrew, Alex and Lachlan have all attended professional development courses over the past two months, continuing to build their skills and stay at the forefront of physiotherapy practice.

We’re incredibly proud of our team’s dedication — whether it’s competing internationally, contributing to the profession, strengthening medical networks, furthering education, or investing in ongoing learning.

Thanks for being part of our community. Here’s to a big year ahead! 🙌

Physica - Our Story

In 2018 Physica will celebrate 40 years of providing Physiotherapy in our current location of Ringwood, Victoria, Australia.

Physica was established by Mr Warwick James who saw that the urban spread east of Melbourne required a skilled Physiotherapist. In the current location Warwick converted an old house into a clinic called Ringwood Manipulative Physiotherapy Clinic. Quickly the clinic grew with the booming population growth in Ringwood and surrounding districts. Richard Gole and Greg Collis-Brown came on board soon after and grew the clinic not only in practitioners and clients but also the reputation as being one of the leading Physiotherapy clinics in Australia. This was primarily on the back of Greg Collis-Brown being a mentor and educator at the universities teaching physiotherapy both at the undergraduate and post graduate levels.

In 2001 the clinic underwent a major redevelopment into a purpose built facility. This, combined with Ringwood becoming a junction point of the East Link freeway and the Eastern freeway, has seen a further growth in Ringwood as a suburb and the clinic.

Richard Gole left as a partner and physiotherapist in 2001 and Warwick James followed in 2008 (Warwick continues to work at the clinic). From then Andrew Seymour, Darren Ross, Chris Tubb and Daniel Zwolak have become partners and the clinic changed names to Physica in 2009.
