ENSURING MAINS SUPPLY IS SAFE

We are now providing standard and free of charge to all customers, an RCD and polarity testing device, including the operating manual along with step-by-step procedures for different supply sources (Park Site 15A, Residential 10A or Generator). Always use this device to check the power source before plugging in, especially when connecting to an unfamiliar supply, or one you haven't previously verified. You can also use this tester within the camper itself to check all GPOs and RCD Duo Safety Switch in the camper.

For our Next Gen (NG) campers, we are now fitting the Victron BMS NG 1000A as standard. This BMS (Battery Management System) allows for multiple ultra-high capacity batteries to be protected, monitored and optimised for maximum power. Components like this do not come cheaply at $1500+. However, we do not cut corners when it comes to the battery management, power efficiency and electrical safety of your camper.

The Victron Ekrano GX Touchscreen is at the heart of our eFusionBlue, next generation camper system and comes standard in all our Extreme upgrade packages. This advanced piece of technology allows you to control and monitor power inputs and outputs whether its DC (12v) or AC (240v) from either the screen itself, via Bluetooth on your phone or even remotely through the Cloud. Knowing your state of charge, what charge is coming in and from source, as well as monitoring the load(s) from your appliances gives you the ability to operate the camper more power efficiently which is important for off grid use.

Victron have now released XS 1400 DC to DC charger which is perfect for our Next Gen Ute and Truck campers. With its selectable input and output, it can be paired with either a 12v Ute or 24v Truck battery from your vehicle and converted to 12v for charging the camper batteries at up to 50A. It also has smart alternator compatibility, adaptive charging and allows monitoring via the camper’s Ekrano GX Touchscreen or Bluetooth through the Victron Connect App on your mobile.

Get ready for the new Ford Ranger Super Duty! This beast is engineered to handle anything you throw at it, featuring a massive 4500kg GVM and payloads up to 1982kg. With its upgraded suspension and reinforced chassis, its built tough making it ideal for our campers and wherever you want to take them.

And whilst the price is getting up there, by the time you add a high end suspension upgrade (not just any GVM upgrade) with chassis and axle reinforcements, control arms, HD braking, plus a tray and AT tyres, the stock standard Hilux which is considered excellent value is not going to be worlds apart on price. We think if it does everything they claim, the Ford Ranger Super Duty could be a real game changer but its going to be a tall order to surpass or be on par with the Landcruiser and Hilux reliability - time will tell.

Just a teaser of our new Next Gen campers, the first of which are nearing production completion. These campers truly are above and beyond what we ever set out or expected to be able to achieve. They incorporate many new innovations and breakthroughs to make this every bit as functional as home yet in a compact clever Slide-On package – this is to say nothing of our new eFusionBlue (Powered By Victron) electrical system that is all installed in-house for Off Grid use and will be featured in future posts.

As part of our commitment to increasing solar recharge capability, later this year we will be trialling an additional solar system we call ‘Boost & Backup’ which is essentially a custom 400W up to 600W OTG solar kit that deploys to either boost your solar or in the event of failure act as a backup. It will be independent to the existing rooftop solar with its own MPPT and external Anderson Plug.
