Your pelvic floor has a quiet way of asking for help — and listening early makes all the difference.
Some signs to look out for:
✨ Leaking with exercise, coughing or sneezing
✨ Heaviness or dragging sensations
✨ Discomfort with intimacy
✨ Urgency or trouble emptying your bladder or bowels
These symptoms are common, but not something you need to live with.
Pelvic floor physio can help you move, laugh, and live without discomfort again.

Are you pregnant and struggling to work out what kind of core work you should be doing during pregnancy? There is a lot of information out there and with that unfortunately comes a lot of misinformation making it confusing to decipher what is safe. For most, it is really important to keep strengthening the core muscles during pregnancy. High level or high load abdominal exercises that result in doming or coning should generally be avoided, however, deep core, trunk stabilising exercises are a great way to maintain core strength and support the spine and pelvis during pregnancy. Think four point kneeling core activations, arm or leg lifts, bird dogs, modified planks. If you are unsure a Women's Health Physio can help.

Strong girl first trimester gym update. Here’s a little snapshot of what my gal pal was doing through the second half of her first trimester once she knew she was pregnant. Some modifications she made -
✨Decreased weights/shorter sessions on days she needed to
✨Heavier weights and longer sessions on days she was feeling good
✨Trialling working on an inclined bench instead of lying flat on her back
✨Giving herself the grace to stay at home when her energy levels were low
