The balanced breakfast combo I have been obsessed with recently 🙌🏻
One thing I am always drilling into my clients is the importance of a balanced breakfast and how it quite literally sets your day up for success 🤭
How to formulate a balanced breakfast you might ask? 🍽️
Well first I want you to pick a protein source. Easily absorbed protein sources include slow cooked animal meat, eggs, fish, good quality full fat dairy products, collagen, good quality protein powders, nuts, seeds, legumes, tofu/tempeh and quinoa 🍳
You then want to pick a complex carbohydrate such as fruit, vegetables or whole grains 🌾
The carbohydrates give your body immediate energy and nutrients, while the protein gives you lasting, satisfying fullness as well as the building blocks your body needs to stay healthy 💪🏼
Healthy fats including nuts and seeds, oily fish, olive oil and avocado can also boost a meal by providing anti-inflammatory nutrients 🥑
So before you resort to your cereal and toast tomorrow morning, ask yourself if it’s ticking all the boxes 🫣
