Times are tough and bills are real, but science actually backs this up, money buys comfort, not happiness, and the richest people in the room aren't always the ones with the most in their account

No better way to walk into a Saturday than with the boys. 🫱🏼🫲🏽

Tomorrow morning. Poppy's Cafe, Huish Drive. 7AM – 9AM.

Free donuts. Free drink. Good blokes. No agenda.

Don't feel like walking? No worries hang back, chill out, have a yarn. This isn't about anything heavy. It's just blokes catching up. Pure mateship.

Sitting on the fence? That's exactly who this is for. Roll in solo or bring your mate, bring your dad whatever works. Just show up.

You'll leave feeling lighter than you arrived. 💪

Big thanks to our event sponsors for always backing us 🙌

A massive thank you to Justin and the team at AECOM

They hosted a trivia night and every dollar raised is heading straight into our Common Ground hub our community mental health space right here in Rockhampton.

Renos are tracking. The doors are getting closer. And it's because of people like this that we can keep doing what we do 🤝

Breaking Down Barriers. Building Up Lives.

We’ve got something cooking… 🔥

A massive shout-out to AJ from Wide Bay Trailers for getting behind Walk ’n’ Talk and helping bring this to life from the early ideas right through to the build. Your support means a lot.

This is our latest non-profit food and drink trailer, built to service events right across the region.
Every dollar raised will go straight back into the community helping us upskill people, create opportunities, support mental health initiatives, and raise the vital funds needed to keep doing what we set out to do.

big thank you to Ian Weigh Toyota for helping make sure we can get across the region

More details coming soon… keep your eyes peeled.

Proud to have Walk ’n’ Talk on Dave Casey’s helmet this race season.

When you think about it, racing is a lot like life.
From the outside it looks exciting. Fast cars, big crowds, big moments.

But when that helmet goes on and you’re sitting behind the wheel… it’s just you.
The pressure, decisions and responsibility.

That’s something a lot of people don’t realise motorsport is just as much a mental game as it is physical.

Helmets are to protect your head, they’re also a reminder that we need to protect what’s going on inside our heads as well.

Athletes carry pressure that most people never see.
Especially the he mental load that comes with competing.

That’s why this partnership means something.
Look after your head.

Wear the helmet to protect it on the outside…
but don’t forget to protect what’s going on inside as well.

Check in on yourself.
Check in on your mates.

Because no one should have to carry it all on their own.

That’s what Walk ’n’ Talk is all about 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

Shout out to absolutely nailing this helmet 🫡

Massive shoutout to the legends at Toyota for backing Walk ’n’ Talk and helping us safely get around Central Queensland spreading the message of connection and conversation.

Seeing the Walk ’n’ Talk vehicle out on the road as a moving billboard for mental health and community has been something pretty special.

A big thank you as well to the crew at Opposite Lock for making sure the vehicle is set up right and ready for the road.

To everyone following the journey there’s plenty more to come.

We had to postpone our last 4WD day with Dave and the crew due to the weather,

but we’ll be announcing a new date soon.
If you’re keen for a drive, a yarn and some real conversations, keep an eye out.

Get over and follow for updates 👍🏼

You don’t need a massive fundraiser to make a difference. 🙌🏼

The team at Ergon Network Operations Southern Rockhampton raised $500 through their social club and chose to split it between breast cancer support and Walk ’n’ Talk.

That’s local people backing local people.

To us, it matters. And it makes an impact.
We’re grateful to be supported by teams who genuinely care about their community and understand why these spaces are important.

Real conversations. Real connection. Real change. 🤝

24/02/2026

Like father. Like son.
Two mullets.
Two top blokes.

One bond that matters more than we talk about.
There’s something missing in the world right now.
Connection between fathers and sons.
Not money.
Not status.
Not success.
Connection.

For a lot of us blokes, when we ring home the first thing we say is,
“Is Mum there?”

And we don’t even realise what that says.
Somewhere along the way, the father-son relationship became quiet.

But every boy needs a dad.
Not a perfect dad.
Not a wealthy dad.
Not a superhero.
A present one.
A dad who shows him how to handle pressure.
How to show respect.
How to lose.
How to get back up.
How to talk.
How to sit in silence without running from it.

And here’s the part we don’t say enough:
Fathers need to know they’re enough too.
That shirt says it loud YOU ARE ENOUGH.
Not because you’ve nailed everything.
Not because you’ve never made mistakes.
Not because you always get it right.
But because showing up matters.
Your presence matters.
Your words matter.
Your example matters.
If you’re a dad reading this
Your son is watching how you handle life.
If you’re a son reading this
Your old man might not say it well, but chances are he’s trying in the only way he knows how.

At Walk ’n’ Talk, we’re thinking deeply about this.
Because changing men’s mental health doesn’t just start with the bloke in front of us.

Tonight, don’t just scroll.
Call your dad.
Message your son.
Have the conversation.
Because the bond between a father and a son isn’t outdated.
It’s foundational.
And if you needed to hear it today
You are enough 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼💯
