Anyone who’s done renovations knows the cost adds up. This funding recognises how important this space is and allows us to push ahead and get Common Ground up and running for the community 🏛️

Walk ‘n’ Talk Rockhampton has received $200,000 from the Queensland Treasury’s Office of Social Impact to help build a facility for men to connect, talk openly and support each other’s mental health.

Common Ground, the Walk ’n’ Talk Hub has been coming together through a lot of behind‑the‑scenes effort. Big commitment from our community and local businesses, long days, plenty of unknowns, and a solid we’ll work it out attitude that’s kept things moving.
The work might not always be seen, but the progress is real.

We want to thank Donna Kirkland MP David Janetzki MP and the Crisafulli Government for the $200,000 funding commitment supporting the construction of Common Ground.
That support, alongside everyone backing this locally, is helping turn talk into action.

✅ Stage 1 renovations are at completion
🚧 Stage 2 is now underway

If you want to know more, be involved, collaborate, or invest in a local mental health charity that’s actually putting things in motion, we’d love to talk. Reach out and let’s have a chat.

If you have ever wondered how to help Walk n Talk, there are now simple ways to make a real difference and they help far more than Chris being an arm rest for Jordan.

Every conversation, every walk, every moment of support is made possible because people in our community choose to stand with us. Some give their time. Some share our posts. Some donate when they can. All of it matters.

If you want to support the work, you can visit our website to make a one off donation or explore the different ways to get involved. Your contribution helps us keep creating safe spaces for men to talk early, talk honestly and feel less alone.

Small actions create big impact. Thank you for being part of the change.

Some conversations change the whole direction of a day. Some change a life.

At Walk n Talk, we see it happen quietly. A bloke shows up unsure, guarded, not sure what he is walking into. By the end of the track, he has shared something he has held onto for years.

Simply because someone walked beside him and gave him space.

This is the heart of what we do. Creating space. Making it normal to talk. Reminding men that they do not have to carry everything alone.

If you have been thinking about coming along, this is your sign. One walk can shift something important.

Nobody needs a reason to check in.
They just need a mate who does it.

This Sunday check in on yours.
Your sad mate.
Your loud mate.
Your proud mate.
Your funny mate.
Your best mate.
Your confident mate.
Your life of the party mate.
The mate you haven't caught up with in a while.
The mate you see all the time.
Doesn't matter how they're doing.
Doesn't matter how long it's been.

Doesn't matter if you don't know what to say. Just reach out and if you need to ask twice, and lend and ear

"You good?"

Your empties can help fill someone else’s cup.

Containers for Change is one of the easiest ways to support Walk n Talk. Drop your cans and bottles at any participating site and nominate Walk n Talk as your charity.

It costs you nothing, it helps us fund programs that keep men connected and with mine sites and local businesses jumping on board, the impact adds up fast.

Your recycling can help save lives in CQ.

Have you ever wondered how to help Walk n Talk? Now it is easier than ever to make a real difference.

Every day in Australia, seven men die by su***de. Most never told anyone they were struggling. Walk n Talk exists to change that by creating safe spaces for honest conversations and genuine connection.

If you want to support this work, it's now even easier to make a one-off donation or explore the many ways to get involved. Your contribution helps keep these conversations going and ensures no one has to walk alone.

We're taking this weekend's Walk n Talk to Yeppoon for ANZAC Day.

We're walking in honour of every person who has served this country past and present. The ones who sacrificed everything so we could have mornings exactly like this one.

This one's also in support of our mate Jesse from 5 with a Digger podcast, a bloke who makes sure those stories never get forgotten. He can't be with us on the ground this ANZAC Day but if your looking to support his movement and podcast Check out 5 With A Digger we will be wearing his collaboration shirt with .co for ANZAC day.

Keppel Bay Sailing Club Cafe, Yeppoon
ANZAC Day — 7am to 9am
All men welcome. 18+.

Free coffee. Galactic Donuts. Barbecue on.
Bring the mate you keep saying you'll catch up with. Or just show up on your own.

No agenda. No pressure. Just blokes showing up for each other on the one day of the year that reminds us why that matters
