The first full moon of 2025 is in the water sign of Cancer, the Crab. In ancient Mesopotamia, Cancerβs motif was the turtle, in Egypt it was the scarab and in Greek myth the symbol was sometimes a lobster. All creatures with shells.
Associated with the 4th house of the zodiac, Cancer encompassing home life, family, social values and tradition so prepare to consider close relationships and your sense of belonging. True connection, even with our inner circle of family can be challenging at times. Hopes for support and recognition arenβt always offered in the way we expected and this can be hurtful. The magick of this full moon reminds us to rise above disappointment and instead, work on feeling at home in ourselves. In other words be true to yourself. When we change it often inspires a change in others and therefore a reinvention of our relationships for the better.
