Metro North went above and beyond so their ICU patient could go see Ed Sheeran in concert. THIS is the type of advocacy and accessibility we need to see more of! 🤩

Redcliffe Hospital ICU patient Melissa wasn't going to let a hospital stay stop her from seeing her favourite act in Brisbane, travelling with her carers and ICU nurse Monique to see Ed Sheeran on the weekend.

The team effort to get Melissa to Suncorp Stadium for Ed Sheeran’s show paid off, with nurse Monique attesting to how special it was to see Melissa mouthing the words to every song. 🎤💃

"My role was to ensure she had a safe airway as currently she has a different ventilator and a new tracheostomy device," she said.

"It was an amazing experience - we had a lot of contingency plans in place to ensure her safety and it truly exceeded her expectations." 🥳

Are you looking for an independent support worker in Moreton Bay/ North Brisbane?

Hello everyone, I'm Maddie, I'm an independent support worker with experience in aged and community care looking for new clients! I have full availability and looking for long term or short term clients. No community access or transport as I don't have a vehicle YET.

Location: Rothwell (near North Lakes)
Willing to travel.

Full availability with minimum 2 hour shifts.
