Autism in girls ❤️💛
Autistic girls have the same characteristics as autistic boys, but are often missed due to their ability to hide, blend or mask their autistic traits. They're often labelled as quirky, although I think being quirky and different is wonderful!

🌟 Today is Swallowing Awareness Day 🌟

Did you know that most people swallow between 500 to 700 times a day?

Yet, for an estimated eight percent of the world's population living with swallowing difficulty, or dysphagia, everyday activities like a family dinner or taking a sip from a water bottle can be scary, embarrassing, uncomfortable, or sometimes impossible.

Here's to raising awareness about the challenges faced by those with dysphagia, and the role of speech pathologists in managing it 🧋
