We love supporting talented members of our local community in their creative ventures.

Our team felt honoured that Kyra named one of the characters in the novel after the O’Loughlin family. Here’s a brief note from Kyra, explaining this connection:

“I have known Brendan and Alisa O’Loughlin, along with their remarkable trio of boys, for many years through a continuing local school connection. When I was writing The Story Thief and looking for a name for my protagonist’s kind-hearted, morally upright and charitable benefactor, 'Mr O’Loughlin' felt like the perfect choice as I had long observed these very same qualities in the O’Loughlin family.
