Saturday Social-skills
Our āSaturday Social-skillsā stream provides an opportunity for our community to participate in fun and engaging group-based leisure and recreation activities that facilitate social skills, communication and building friendships.
We understand how important it is for our participants to integrate into the community in their own way. This is why we thoroughly consider the interest-based recreation activities that we include in each session. As well as increasing skills, these activities help participants unwind and partake in meaningful conversations. We always allow time for interaction and provide communication cue cards to help participants facilitate conversations with one another and support workers, independent of additional support. Every aspect of the program is thoughtfully constructed, down to the support worker each participant is paired with.
School Holiday Program
Sweetheart Care provides a skills development and recreational service in a safe and engaging environment for children aged 7 to 12 and young people aged 13 to 17. Discover your creativity with our arts and crafts and cooking activities. Our colourful garden, complete with play equipment, provides space for outdoor activities. Activities emphasise learning, social skills development, independence, and learning to be a part of a group and work together. We focus on the five senses: sight, touch, taste, smell, and hearing. Every activity planned and organised ensures that quality services are provided to Sweetheart Care. Quiet, self-regulating spaces provide a haven for Kids and Young People participating in the program when they are feeling overwhelmed. Sweetheart will provide a safe and engaging environment that promotes positive wellbeing and outcomes for everyone. Enrol now by email schinfo@sweetheartcare.com
