Teal is one of my favourite colours, and the other colour featured is called "petrol". There's no wonder the signs look a million dollars 😜

Thanks 👏

✨️Day 1, Wanda Health Co.✨️
It was such a fabulous first day with Tianna and Jess, even though it's only been a day, I feel like we've been a team forever 🙏.
Just a few more finishing touches as we navigate through the first weeks, including the front signage and for me to finish my painting to be hung...
It was lovely to see my patients enjoy the fresh new look of the clinic, including the aquarium (fish are still to come as the tank cycles!). And also, looking forward to Wellspring Studio and Mark Woods (Acupuncture and massage) to join us on the 20th April.
A heart felt thanks for everyone's support and well wishes. Thanks .doctors and my family .hanrahan 💙 for the stunning flowers from
Don't forget the new clinic number 40919944 and Wanda Health Co is located at 256 Soldiers Point Rd Salamander Bay.

Hello.
I'm Michelle, osteopath and owner of Wanda Health Co.
Welcome! If you've just started following us on our socials, or been with me through the past 20 years that I have been practising in the Bay, thank you 🙏

Why Wanda Health Co.?
Wanda Heath Co is an integrative Health and Wellness clinic, bringing together a team of therapists that I am so pleased to have introduced in earlier posts. Patient-centred and holistic care is at the heart of our practice, as well as encouraging a positive space for our patients, clients, staff and practitioners. However, we are also part of a wider network of practitioners and clinics that we are so fortunate to be able to collaborate with and inter-refer to in the Bay, with a common interest, and that is you.

The Story.
Starting in the cottage at 256, where Wanda Health Co will be located.18months ago, Dr Jodie and Pete of Bay Doctors & Skin Cancer Clinic said, sure, we'll squeeze you into our already over capacity rooms... somewhere, it'll be fine, you'll be like part of the furniture! I am forever grateful for everyone at Bay Doctors, such a beautiful work environment and so much cake (today is my last day working with this crew, so I maybe getting a bit sentimental). As the team at Bay Doctors move on and I remain, I wish Jodie Yapp, Lynne Gaye, Peter Yapp and all the incredible staff all the very best on their exciting expansion. I will be around for cake.
Next connection to Bay Doctors, Tianna, our new receptionist also worked at Bay Doctors starting as a young 16yo trainee. Her dad also built the reception desk, so Tianna will feel right back at home at Wanda Health Co.

Mark Woods, acupuncturist and massage therapist. We have a 20 year history. At the end of Soldiers Point in the commercial precinct, Mark offered me my first space to practice from when I first established here from Orange. He called me just 3 weeks ago because he heard through the Bay vine. I am pleased to be able to be able to return the favour to offer a practice home, and look forward to working with Mark again.

Wellspring Studio's, Jacquie. I knew Jacquie before I met Jacquie as her Aunt Anne was one of my osteopathy clinicians at Uni 28 years ago. Jacquie and I also play netball together. However, Jacquie also heard through the Bay vine about Wanda Health Co through Finn (we met through Little Athletics!) physio across the road. Clearly, Jacquie and I are too puffed to talk on the netball court (or maybe just me). I look forward to getting to know Erin, the other half of Wellspring.

The lovely Jess, reception. One of her work referees coincidentally was one of the first dear friends I met here in the Bay, Tanya at Nelson Bay Health foods. Tanya was also my amazing receptionist for a short period while training to be a herbalist, when Port Stephens Osteopathy was downstairs of our home on Foreshore Drive, over 15 years ago.

As many say, this is the Bay, and there are many more connections. I see the coming together of Wanda Health Co. as truly serendipitous. It has been an incredible journey to arrive here, and I am thrilled about the journey ahead as Wanda Health Co. and looking forward to helping you all on your health and wellness journey.
Thank you to all my dear patients that have been so understanding through this transition 🙏💙.

Wanda Health Co. officially opens next Tuesday 7th April, 2026.

Wanda Health Co warmly welcomes Wellspring Studio, co-founded by Erin and Jacquie.

Both Erin and Jacquie are Registered Nurses who share a passion for preventative health and supporting others to feel their best.
Through their extensive and diverse experiences in nursing and health, and the passion for improving health and wellness, they discovered IV infusions and the beginning of Wellspring Studio.
IV vitamin infusions are a wellness treatment that delivers vitamins, minerals, and fluids directly into the bloodstream via an intravenous line. IV therapy is commonly used for immediate hydration as it bypasses the digestive system. Erin and Jacquie look forward to meeting you, and assisting you on your health and wellness journey.

Wanda Health Co. would like to introduce Mark Woods, acupuncturist and remedial massage therapist.

Mark may not need much of an introduction in the local area, having practiced in Port Stephens for over 28 years.

With over 30 years of experience, Mark practices traditional acupuncture that originated in China over 2000 years ago. This ancient medical practice involves the use of single use sterile stainless steel needles to stimulate points around the body to help the body start to heal itself. Acupuncture is commonly used in the treatment of muscle and joint discomfort, however, it can also be used for organ problems as well, such as digestion, respiratory, and stress.
Acupuncture can also be used as a complementary treatment to help assist your normal health regime. Mark is also a remedial massage therapist, that he also combines with treatment to assist in the body to heal through soft tissue manipulation.

When Mark isn't needling or massaging, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family, including the family oodle, Wally (which Mark may deny!).

Mark will start practice from our rooms Wanda Health Co. from Monday 20th April, 2026.
For appointments, please call Mark on 0429 846 400.

💜Happy International Women's Day! 💜

💜International Women's Day, 8th March, 2026💜

To celebrate , I would like to acknowledge a few of many incredible women that I am fortunate to know. Women from all cultures, demographics and beliefs, the good contributed and their achievements, deserves equality, inclusiveness, gratitude and respect.
Thank you to ALL women that make our communities a better place, who's actions truly speak this years theme "Give to Gain" 🙏

⭐️ Bay Doctors & Skin Cancer Clinic
The incredible women GPs; Dr Jodie Yapp, Dr Lynn Gay, Dr Maryum Chaudry, Dr Leandri Loots, Dr Sienna McWhae-Brown, Dr Emma Byrne, and of course Nurses: Kez, Sal, Em, Kaylie, Sandra, and admin staff; Jen, Jo, Birte, Chantal, Lyn, Una, and Tami. Each of these women give their compassion, skills, and knowledge to care and service our community. The giving nature of everyone at Bay Doctors also supports fundraising events such as the Biggest morning tea and the May 50k for MS. I am so fortunate to share my workspace professionally and culturally in a wonderful work environment that I feel so privileged to be part of.

⭐️ Leah Anderson - Mayor of Port Stephens
Locally, Leah is no stranger. Not only is she making history as the first elected female Mayor of Port Stephens in 2024, but she is also a long-serving community member involved in Rotary, Port Stephens Women in Business, Port Stephens Business Chamber, Port Stephens Koala Hospital, and a myriad of other local community groups with which Leah has built affiliations, some of which I have had the pleasure of working with Leah through. Leah’s efforts have been recognized through accolades, including the 2018 Port Stephens Woman of the Year and the Paul Harris Medal in 2023. It is Leah’s commitment to giving to gain for the benefit of the local community that is truly an inspiration, not just to women but to all.

⭐️ Jacquie Cooper, RN, Director of “Wellspring Studio”.
We can not show our gratitude enough for our nurses, and Jacquie is amongst them, having worked in all facets of nursing including aged care and community health, for over 20 years. Jacquie moved to the Bay with her young family and partner Chris, a Bay local. With the joy of making the Bay home, also came the devastation of their son Leo’s Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy diagnosis. Jacquie has championed against Duchenne’s with “Lions.walk”, raising awareness and fundraising efforts in 2024 with the 26km Tomaree Coastal Walk, and 2025 with the 30km walk from Bells Beach to Airleys inlet, raising $30,500 for Australia. The incredible Jacquie, along with her business partner Erin Johnston RN, bring a new venture promoting health and wellness with “Wellspring Studio” intravenous vitamin and nutrient therapy, and I am thrilled to announce they will be operating from Wanda Health Co from April 2026.

⭐️ Michelle Redden, CEO Connecting Community Services, Dubbo.
Michelle heads an incredible team at Connecting Community services, Dubbo. Michelle has made an impact within the community since her engagement as the CEO of the Dubbo Neighbourhood Centre back in 2018. Michelle is passionate about her community, providing coordinated and holistic services addressing Aboriginal Health, Women’s Health and Safety, Domestic Violence, Youth and Family services, Migrant Support, and Aged Care in the Dubbo region. I am in awe of Michelle and her ability to connect and give to the community, and so proud to be able to call Michelle one of my dearest and oldest friends since primary school.

⭐️ Lan Chan, my Mum.
Lan migrated to Australia from Hong Kong after marrying Peter, back in 1971. Lan survived the Great Chinese Famine (1959-1961), recognised as the deadliest famine in history, to then move to Narromine to open the towns first Chinese restaurant in 1976. After migrating to Australia without speaking a word of English and finishing school at the age of 10, Lan with Peter, attended English classes at college in Dubbo (I still remember sitting in the corner as a little one) while managing to run the restaurant and raise 4 children. Retirement came after 30years of running a successful business, but Lan is still very much part of the Narromine community and teaches Tai Chi and Seniors exercises classes today. Where would our country (or me) be without women like my Mum? 🫶

💜 Happy International Women's Day 💜

Change of Date!

Originally we had announced Wanda Health Co would be opening on Monday 30th March 2026. We have now had a revised date, and we will open on Tuesday 7th April 2026.

I was reminded in a fortune cookie over the recent Lunar New Year, which was then reinforced again with the second fortune cookie,

"All things come to those who wait."

I was told once, and then told twice... what smart cookies!

It's all in the name.

"Wanda" means "beach" in local Kattang language of the respected Indigenous Worimi people. The clinic location is just a stroll down to beautiful Wanda beach and Wanda Wanda Headland.

"Health" is dynamic and subjective, "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity" (World Health Organisation). To live a lifestyle and to function to fulfil what each of us need and want to do, is dependant on ones health. Optimising health holistically is our priority through "Co", through a collaborative approach and taking "care of" you through our services and enabling yourself to take care of you, together.

Wanda Health Co, opening Monday 30th March 2026.
256 Soldiers Point Rd, Salamander Bay NSW.
