Just over 2 weeks until this legend Chris Dixon and many others partake in the Helping Hands Charity Run to raise awareness and funds for Free 3D Hands.

What they do- Free 3D Hands is a charity based in Australia who designs and manufactures 3D printed assistive devices.
And guess what.. they don’t charge their recipient a cent! Not even for postage. 🙌🙏

Their fundamental belief- “Is that anyone who’s born with a limb difference shouldn’t have to spend a cent on something that’s going to put a smile on their face and allow them to try things they’ve never done before.”

This incredible human being (and may others) will be running in honour of Chris’s daughter Gracie whom was born with a limb deficieny and many other incredible people, just like her.

I myself will also be taking part in the run, although my distance is a lot smaller 21.1kms (or further, see how long I can last 😅), but they all add up and it’s the purpose behind the km that counts and I can assure you that every km will be ran with purpose by all of us.

If you’re around Sale on the 17th/18th of Oct, be sure to pop over to Lake Guthridge and cheer everyone on.
Also if you’re able and willing, all donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated, you can donate via the link below 👇
https://donorbox.org/helpinghandsrun-steph
Or I’m also selling some raffle tickets which have some incredible prizes!! Send me a msg if you’d like to find out more and purchase some ☺️

If you’ve read this far you’re a legend (well you are even if you haven’t) but I appreciate you sticking out the long post, it’s for a good cause!

Much love,
Steph

I love this video and the insight it offers on the old saying:
“I’ll take care of you, if you take care of me.”

But over time, I’ve realised how much responsibility that places in someone else’s hands — and how unsustainable that can be.

So instead, let’s shift it to:
“I’ll take care of me for you — if you take care of you for me.”

Because the most powerful thing we can offer someone else is the version of ourselves that’s grounded, healing, and whole.

Not perfect. Just present.

And the other side of that?
Something I’ve learnt along the way, and something worth remembering —

Healing is hard.
Some days, you forget your worth.
Some days, you fall beneath the weight of old patterns and pain.

That’s why it’s so important to surround yourself with people who don’t try to fix you.
They just see you.
Hold space for you.
And gently remind you of your truth when you forget.

Not because you’re broken —
but because even strong hearts get tired sometimes.

So take care of you.
For the ones you love.
For the life you’re building.
And keep close those rare souls who help you remember who you are when your reflection feels a little blurry.

Taking care of yourself doesn’t mean doing it all alone.
It just means holding yourself accountable
for your life and how you choose to show up in it.

Take care of you — for you, for them —
and let others witness you, hold you, and love you
when you can’t quite do it or feel it for yourself.

Gym class
A fitness test
Accompanied by fear and a limiting belief

What did this offer me..
A moment to pause, breathe, redirect a thought and break a limiting belief.

Seems like a lot for a Friday morning gym class but that’s what happened and I very nearly missed it.
I was a little horrified when I found out we’d be doing a fitness test, I haven’t done one of those since I was a kid!

But this beautiful, hard, tiring moment of pushing through self doubt (push ups, step ups, burpees and runs 😵‍💫) had me feeling a sense of accomplishment because I at least turned up and did my best and I know that that’s enough.

Compliment yourself, celebrate your wins no matter how big or small that you feel they may be.
Give yourself a break from all the expectations, the should have’s and could have’s and give yourself some grace, you deserve to receive your own praise whether if you met your own expectations or not, you showed up and that’s more than enough 🫶

Here’s a Mindful Moment for those who need it.

This has been a common thread in conversations lately, and I felt the pull to share —
not just to validate the experience, but to help you gently separate yourself from the feeling.

You’re not broken — you might just be full.
If things have felt heavy lately, this one’s for you.

Feel free to save it for those heavy days as a gentle reminder or send it on to someone who’s feeling it too.

Every night this week I’ve been out in the sauna to try and help my body release some built up tension and stress.

Life gets busy sometimes, lately I’ve felt pulled in all directions and all at once! it can feel just a little (or a lot) overwhelming at times and the good old negative self talk tries to rear it’s head 😮‍💨😥

If you’ve felt this lately too, please know that you are not alone!
The sauna is just one of the tools in my wellness kit to help get me through, along with a supportive partner, amazing family and friends and beautiful kids that push me (without even knowing) to become a better person and mum everyday.

I’ve learnt from being a mum that you have to show up for yourself first, to be kind and gentle, before you’re critical and judgemental, it’s so easy to place a problem on your shoulders when it’s not even your burden to carry.
We show others how to treat us and our children how to treat themselves or what to accept from others based on how they see us treat ourselves.
We are their greatest teachers while they’re young and it’s a tough position to have sometimes especially when you’re still learning how to love yourself but it shows just how important it is and why we all deserve love (especially our own).

How have you show up for yourself lately?
Do you have kids of your own or perhaps you’re still showing your inner child what it looks like to love yourself unconditionally, it’s okay if it’s a lot sometimes but it doesn’t mean you’re too much, remember that 💗 be kind to yourself growing is beautiful but sometimes growing comes with pain, take it easy on yourself okay.

What tools do you have to help you take care of yourself? If you don’t have any but would love some ideas and tips, send me a msg or drop a comment below and I’ll reach out, I have a few good ones that always feel nice x

After gym class this morning, then work during the day, to birthday celebrations where I may have had 2 slices of cake 😏🍰 I’m definitely not mad about it btw 😆

The kids are now in bed sound asleep and I’m just finding a few minutes to get in a little study before getting some much needed sleep because rest is just as important as all of the doing 😌

Did you find time to move today, or perhaps get some rest?
Either way I hope you had a great day and made some time to enjoy yourself x
