The foundation of supported employment is built on enabling our teams to live their chosen lifestyles. Consistency and rhythm are key. This leads to greater independence and integration into society. We are proud of the significant progress our supported employees have achieved. We are excited to see this progress continue into 2026 and beyond!

Supported employment is unique because it’s built on working together.

Our disability support workers don’t just supervise from the sidelines. They’re right there alongside our supported employees. Sharing the work, offering guidance in the moment, and celebrating progress as it happens.

It’s about learning by doing.

Building confidence through real tasks and creating an environment where people feel supported, valued, and capable.

That’s what makes supported employment different. It’s not just a job, it’s teamwork, growth, and genuine inclusion in action.

Does it feel like the grass always seems to take off in summer?

Well, there is a good reason for it 🌱

During the warmer months, grass gets the perfect mix of heat, sunlight and moisture. Longer days mean more sunlight for photosynthesis, while warmer soil speeds up growth. Add a bit of rain (or irrigation) and grass responds quickly by growing thicker and faster.

That’s why staying on top of mowing and brush cutting in summer is so important.

Regular maintenance can:

Keep grass healthy and manageable.

Prevent weeds from taking over.

Reduce fire risk as vegetation thickens.

Keep properties looking neat and safe.

At this time of year, the workload increases and this is where our supported employees truly get to step up.

Our supported employees are putting in an outstanding effort by keeping up with the demands of seasonal growth. From mowing schedules to detailed brush cutting, they’re putting in consistent effort, building skills, and taking pride in maintaining high standards across every site.

Summer growth doesn’t slow down but neither do our crews. We’re proud of the work they do and the commitment they show every day to keep our communities looking their best.

Skill development is one of the most empowering parts of what we aim to achieve with our supported employees.

Many of our supported employees start out in each of the jobs without prior experience. With the training, encouragement and ongoing support from our professionally trained disability support workers, they learn real skills and apply them.

Then the magic happens.

Week by week, year by year, they build confidence, sharpening their skills, and before long they are genuinely mastering their craft.

Whether it’s gardening, recycling, car washing, or one of our many work sites, we see people grow into roles they’re proud of and that pride shows in the quality of their work.

Watching that journey is honestly one of the best parts of our job.

And here’s the good news: we’re hiring more supported employees.
If you or someone you support is looking for meaningful work, real training, and a team that genuinely cares, we’d love to hear from you.

Send us a message or reach out to learn more!

As we continue through final work days of the year, our crews are still giving it their all. It’s not just about cutting the grass. It’s the pruning, the shaping, the clean-up, and the care that goes into every single site we visit.

Here’s a snapshot from this week: one of our gardening teams bringing back a huge load of green waste after a big job. It’s the result of hard work, attention to detail, and a genuine pride in leaving our clients’ properties looking their best.

We’re really proud of our crews and the effort they put in every day. 🌿💚
