Unexpected highlight of the day 🐾

Our team was hard at work when we had a very special visitor drop by, a resident’s friendly dog who was more than ready for some pats and playtime! 😄

Smiles all around as our supported employees took a well-earned moment to enjoy the visit. It’s little moments like these that bring so much joy to the day and remind us how fun the workplace can be.

Safe to say, our furry friend is welcome back anytime! 🐶

Eric has enjoyed learning and building skills for gardening. His ability to identify and spot different types of weeds is something he is truly proud of. Well done Eric!

There’s something special about seeing someone step into a new skill and truly own it.

One of our supported employees has been building their confidence on the ride-on mower, starting with hands-on training and guidance from our dedicated DSWs. With the right support, patience, and supervision, what once felt new and uncertain has become a real strength.

Now, they’re out on larger sites, taking pride in their work and delivering great quality results. The smile says it all, not just from getting the job done, but from knowing they’ve developed the skills to do it well.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. It’s about growth, opportunity, and backing people to achieve more than they thought possible.

Growth is a journey and every step forward counts.

For our supported employees, learning happens in a way that’s engaging, encouraging, and built for success. By taking things one step at a time, each new skill becomes a win, and every win builds confidence.

Over time, those small achievements turn into real capability, independence, and pride. You can see it in the way individuals back themselves, support each other, and take ownership of their work.

Before you know it, those same individuals are not just learning but they’re thriving as part of a strong, connected, and successful team.

There’s nothing quite like being recognised for a job well done.

While our crew was hard at work weeding at the train station, a passing community member took a moment to stop and compliment the team. It was a simple gesture, but the impact was well received.

Seeing the pride and happiness on our team’s faces was a great reminder that recognition truly matters. It builds confidence, reinforces purpose, and makes all the hard work even more rewarding. Moments like these mean a lot to our supported employees.

The Seaford and Bellfield teams got to work side by side this week for one of our large contracts. A heartfelt reunion for Senior Support Phu and his former crew from Connecting2Ability Bellfield as they worked together to complete the jobs for the day. Thank you to our Horticulturalist Bruce for joining to assist with the task!

Our supported employees love what they do.

Every day our crews head out ready to take on the work ahead. Whether it’s tackling a new challenge or completing a job they’ve mastered over time, there’s a real sense of pride in the work they do.

Our mission is to support them to live their best and chosen lives. Meaningful work, strong teams, and the opportunity to contribute all play a big part in that journey.

Seeing that pride, growth, and enjoyment on the job is what makes this industry so rewarding to be part of.

Progression in the workplace is incredibly rewarding to see. Over time, our supported employees build skills, grow in confidence, and take greater pride in their work.

What may begin as learning the basics gradually develops into real capability and independence. With the right support and patience, those small steps forward turn into meaningful progress.

That growth brings genuine satisfaction and happiness. Seeing their own improvement and knowing their work matters creates a strong sense of pride and belonging within the team.

It’s a great reminder that steady progress over time can make a real difference in helping people live their chosen lives.
