During January, $2 from every facial was donated to ✨

A total of $126 for January.
Something that may seem so little to us, means the world to this foundation and the women within it.

Due to my limited clinic hours and February leave, when I return end of the month- $2 will continue to go towards this incredible cause xx

Thank you
I hope to see more clinics getting around this ♥️

Throwing it back to this time last year 🤍

Still feels surreal that I was lucky enough to attend the Mocha Beauty Beauty Squad House 2025.

Beautiful Kingscliff, deep conversations, big dreams and sharing the experience with Amy & Shikya made it even more special.

Cannot wait to watch this years weekend events!

Forever grateful for the connections, inspiration and confidence this weekend gave me ✨

The acid mantle and the skin microbiome are often spoken about interchangeably, but they are not the same thing.

The acid mantle is a thin, acidic film that sits on the surface of the skin. It regulates pH, supports enzyme activity and creates the environment needed for barrier repair.

The skin microbiome is a living ecosystem of microorganisms that rely on that environment to survive and function.

When pH is supported, beneficial microbes thrive. When pH is disrupted, microbial balance shifts, often alongside inflammation and barrier impairment.

You don’t “fix” the microbiome directly.
You support the conditions it needs.

This is foundational skin education, and it’s where healthy skin begins.

10 years ago, I saw the skin as dead layers that needed to be exfoliated to be healthy… I have so much to share with you all!

Your skin isn’t reacting randomly, it’s responding to signals.

The gut and skin microbiomes are deeply connected through immune and inflammatory pathways. When gut balance is disrupted, inflammation can rise throughout the body, changing the environment your skin lives in.

This can affect barrier function, pH, sebum composition and the skin microbiome itself- which is why skin issues often persist despite “doing all the right things” topically.

Skin health is never just about what you apply.
It’s about what the skin is responding to.

If this kind of education resonates, deeper skin & gut foundations are coming in February 🤍

Your gut isn’t just digesting food, it’s feeding an entire ecosystem.

The gut microbiome is made up of trillions of bacteria that influence inflammation, immunity, hormones and skin health.
What you eat doesn’t just nourish you, it shapes which bacteria thrive.

Fermented foods like kimchi, sauerkraut, tempeh, kombucha and yogurt introduce beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium, supporting microbial diversity and balance.

But just like skincare, not all products are created equally.
Some foods marketed as “healthy” are high in sugar and low in live cultures, offering very little support to the microbiome.

Gut health isn’t about perfection or restriction.
It’s about variety, consistency and creating the right environment for beneficial bacteria to do their job.

If this kind of education resonates, deeper skin & gut foundations are coming in February 🤍

Jacinta Curnow Skin and Beauty

Hi my name is Jacinta and im a skin-a-holic and mother of two. My interest in Beauty Therapy started in 2015 when i had my first facial, laying there in all the beautiful layers of smells and textures, experiencing my first hot towel pressed against my face. When the treatment ended i opened my eyes, feeling completely relaxed and glowing - i left thinking “ i want to make people feel this good”. I went home and researched everything about “How to be a skin therapist” and shortly after was enrolled into the WA Academy.

After completing my Certificate IV in Beauty therapy - Achieving “Skin Therapist - Student of The Year” partnered by Dermalogica, i rolled on to study my Diploma of Beauty Therapy and landed my first Spa Therapist job at The Richardson Hotel & Spa. Such an amazing experience working in a 5 Star Spa in West Perth!!! Unfortunately, everyone had to say good bye to the hotel as it was sold after 11 years of business.

JC started working at Belen Skin Centre in Cockburn where she worked with Ultracueticals and once again Dermalogica! Working in a fast pace shopping centre was great fun and a way for me to build my skin training up (Dermalogica Expert & Ultraceutical Expert) but we had started building our first home! Which meant.... I had the opportunity to build my very own Treatment Room from the ground up! By September 2019, I wasn't only my OWN BOSS but also became a Dermalogica Professional & Authentic Stockist!!!

I think we can all agree that 2020 has put the world on pause but JC has been working hard behind the scenes keeping up her skin health knowledge and upskilling her treatment protocols - Completing numerous online courses through Dermalogica, International Dermal Institute, Advanced Skin Training & Skin Education International Level 1 & 2. I have some exciting NEW treatments coming in June PLUS lots of new skin education to share with all my beautiful clients. All i want to do is make you all feel beautiful in your own skin! I cannot wait to see you all again! JC xox
