In recognition of International Clinical Trials Day tomorrow, 20 May we’re proud to publish our 2022 Annual Research Report showcasing the strides we’re making towards new discoveries and increasing access to emerging treatments and techniques. Last year we cared for 730 patients on active clinical trials and were involved in over 500 compounding and pharmacy trials.

Across our global network we participate in trials across medical oncology, haematology, and radiation medicine and over the next five years we will continue to grow our research capacity into new geographies and expand capabilities into molecular medicine and beyond.

Congratulations to Icon Group CEO, Mark Middleton on being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) at today’s Queen’s Birthday Honours. Mark has dedicated his career to the improvement of cancer care across Australia and under his leadership, Icon Group has brought world-class care to regional communities and continues to bring more care to where it is needed.

Today, 20 May on International Clinical Trials Day we are proud to launch our 2021 Annual Research Report. In the calendar year we doubled our clinical trials capacity - welcoming new trial centres, Principal Investigators, and the introduction of a dedicated research portfolio in Singapore and Hong Kong with several research locations coming online in 2022.

Icon is proud to announce a five year research and professional services agreement with Varian, building on our long-term global relationship.

This agreement will see Icon participate in clinical and technical research programs, product evaluation projects and clinical consultations with Varian, offering clinical expertise throughout product development to advance cancer treatment globally.

Today on World Cancer Day the global Icon Group team and our patients shared their messages of hope and advice in an effort to help close the care gap and be part of the cancer conversation.

We are proud to be partners of UICC - Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and help support this important day every year.

Group CEO, Mark Middleton and Icon Cancer Centre - Singapore CEO, Serena Wee also participated in World Cancer Day’s 21 Days to Impact Challenge, check out their journey by following them on LinkedIn.

Today, 19 November Icon Group has entered the next phase of global expansion with the investment of international fund EQT Group.

Icon is proud to invest in South Australia cancer care delivering three new centres, a new state-of-the-art compounding site, and the evolution of world-class treatment, including the installation of SA's first VarianHyperArc and IDENTIFY radiation therapy technologies.

This investment will see Icon provide up to 54,000 cancer treatments annually and continue to provide greater access to care to where it needed most.

On World Cancer Research Day, we are proud to announce Icon Group and Varian will be collaborating on a milestone radiation therapy study. This study will focus on the development of a Varian HyperArc international registry setting the foundations for quality clinical data collection and ongoing evolutions in HyperArc technology and radiation therapy techniques. Icon is among the first to use HyperArc technology and continue to work alongside Varian in the advancement of stereotactic radiation therapy.
