I’m holding a very special full-day workshop that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time.

It’s about the deeper truths behind healing… the stuff most people never talk about. A combination of everything I’ve studied and learned from my journey of holistic healing.

DIY Foam Hand Soap (500ml Pump)

Ingredients:

250ml Castile soap
2 tbsp organic Vegetable Glycerin
1 drop Oregano essential oil
2 drops Tea Tree essential oil
5 drops Purify essential oil blend
2 drops Lavender essential oil
Cool, boiled water (to top up)

Instructions:

🫧 Pour the Castile soap into your 500ml foam pump bottle.
🫧 Add the vegetable glycerin to the bottle.
🫧 Carefully drop in the essential oils: oregano, tea tree, purify, and lavender.
🫧 Fill the rest of the bottle with cool, boiled water, leaving a little space at the top.
🫧 Shake gently to mix.

Tip: You can always adjust the essential oils to suit your preferences or to create different blends. There’s no right or wrong way to do this. I always encourage people to experiment, have a play with different scents and find a blend that you love.

As we look towards the end of the year, I’d like to take a moment to thank you for choosing me to support you as your Kinesiologist throughout 2024 🥰

To allow me to provide you the best care in 2025, I will be taking a short break over the festive period and resuming my normal working hours at .wellness.medicine from the 7th January and at from the 8th January.

Now that the weather is changing and the cold and flu season is upon us, let’s take a closer look at Vitamin C and how it can support your immune system (as well as other health benefits).

Vitamin C is an essential vitamin, meaning your body can’t produce it. While many people turn to supplements to meet their needs, it’s commonly advised to get your vitamin C intake from fruits and vegetables, including oranges, strawberries, kiwi fruit, cranberries, bell peppers, broccoli, brussel sprouts and tomatoes.

The recommended daily intake (RDI) for Vitamin C is 75 mg for women and 90 mg for men. When you look at the graph above, you can see that the RDI is easily achievable.

Did you know that Vitamin C not only contributes to immune defense by supporting various cellular functions of both the innate and adaptive immune system but it has many roles that have been linked to impressive health benefits like reducing your risk of chronic disease, lowering blood pressure, lowering your risk of heart disease, reducing blood uric acid levels which can help prevent gout, prevent iron deficiency, protect your memory and reduce the risk of dementia.

Be mindful that organic or spray-free produce is a better option for absorbing nutrients.

Loneliness is a feeling of disconnection. There may be times where we feel estranged from parts of ourselves, we don’t know who we are, what we want, where we are going. We don’t know what gives us joy, meaning and purpose in life.

Whether we realise it or not, these moments are usually times of growth - we are changing, transitioning, evolving and figuring out which direction we are headed towards. This is where the feeling of loneliness can creep in and it can feel uncomfortable.

Kinesiology is a great tool to help you reconnect with yourself, allow you understand the parts of yourself that seem different and support you in feeling whole again 💞

Living in the present moment can seem challenging when your brain is constantly thinking about the past or the future. As Larissa Gomez quoted: “Being thankful is not always experienced as a natural state of existence, we must work at it, akin to a type of strength training for the heart.”

If you’ve had a kinesiology session with me, you may have heard me talk about the amygdala. Studies have shown the amygdala is activated by feelings of gratitude. This particular area of the brain regulates our bodily functions, emotions and memory. Practising gratitude activates the amygdala and areas of our brain associated with feelings of bliss.

Here’s 4 ways you can start training your brain to enjoy the present moment and feel more gratitude:

1. Start small and begin with taking a few moments each day to appreciate the things you have. They can be simple like a good cup of coffee, a kind interaction with a work colleague, or the warm sunshine on your skin. Practising gratitude every day will eventually develop into a habit.

2. A gratitude journal can help you get into the habit by taking 5 minutes every day to write 3 things you are grateful for. I personally love and use the . I keep it on my bedside table so I can journal in the morning and/or evening.

3. Pay it forward. Positivity is infectious so when you practice and demonstrate gratitude and also receive it, it helps you know that you are making a difference, even if only on a small level.

4. Mindfulness meditation is a great practice that helps you feel kindness towards yourself and others. Apps like , and are a great guide to harness mindfulness skills.

Gratitude puts you in the mindset that every day is a gift. Taking a moment to notice and acknowledge the things you’re grateful for each day can brighten your outlook, boost your mood, and help you feel more positive in the face of challenges.
