Huge Client Spotlight this week for the incredible Kerry! 🌟

Over the weekend Kerry competed in the Masters Athletics competition and achieved an amazing result: 2nd place in Long Jump and 3rd place in Javelin! 🥈🥉

And the most inspiring part? Kerry is 78 years young and still showing what consistency, strength and determination can achieve!

We’re incredibly proud to support Kerry here at Hobart Exercise Physiology. She’s proof that staying strong, active and committed to your health can help you keep doing the things you love at any age 🤩

We’re so excited to officially welcome Rachael as our new Practice Manager at Hobart Exercise Physiology ✨

Rachael started with us this Monday and has already hit the ground running. With her strong leadership, attention to detail, and warm, approachable nature, she’s here to support both our team and our clients to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Her role is all about strengthening our systems, supporting our practitioners, and helping us continue to grow so we can provide the highest standard of care to our community. We’re confident she’s going to make a huge impact as we move into this next chapter.

The amazing Lisa in action during her recent strength re-testing 🤩

Lisa was referred to our team for support with managing her osteoporosis and building confidence in exercising safely with this diagnosis. 🏃‍♀️ Since starting with us, she’s been committed to her program, attending the gym weekly and incorporating Pilates once a week 🏋️‍♀️

Together we’re focusing on progressive strength training and balance work to support bone health and help improve her bone mineral density over time 🦴

Consistent, targeted exercise is one of the most powerful tools we have for managing osteoporosis, and Lisa is a fantastic example of how building strength can also build confidence in movement 🤩

🌟 Pilates Wedge 🌟

During pregnancy, using a supportive wedge allows you to exercise safely without lying flat on your back, keeping you comfortable while still building strength and stability. 💪

But that’s not all it can be used for! 🤩

We also incorporate the wedge to:
✨ Reduce pressure through the pelvis and lower back (great for pelvic girdle pain)
✨ Support better posture and alignment during strength work
✨ Assist clients with reflux, breathlessness or discomfort when lying flat
✨ Modify exercises for injury, mobility limitations or early postnatal recovery
✨ Encourage optimal breathing mechanics and core connection
✨ Provide graduated incline options to tailor intensity safely

It’s a simple yet extremely versatile tool that allows us to individualise your program; whether you’re pregnant, recovering, managing pain, or just need a more comfortable setup for your body! ✅ It can also be used on the floor, not just the reformer for assistance wherever you might need it 🔥

Our small yet mighty circuit group today! 🔥 our Saturdays are a hit at HEP, allowing so many clients who work full time weeks or have schedule clashes during the week to access the clinic for our services! ✅ Running a circuit class at 8am, followed by a supervised exercise group at 9am, leading into one-on-one and shared sessions and independent gym access throughout the 8-12pm opening hours, Saturdays are a great week to stay the weekend fresh and ready to go, or get that extra session in your week! 💪🥳
