What we can do is make small, healthier swaps when choosing kids’ snacks:
🥄 Yogurt swap – Many are packed with added sugar 😬. A better option? Choose one higher in protein with no added sugar! 💪
🍿 Chip swap – Ditch the chips and go for popcorn instead! Still crunchy, but a much healthier choice. 👌

Black Bean & Beetroot Brownies 🍫❤️

A fun (and sneaky 😉) twist on my classic black bean brownies—perfect for the school lunchbox! 🎒✨

👩‍🍳 How to make them:
🔥 Preheat oven to 180°C
🧁 Lightly grease a 12-slot muffin tin
🫘 Rinse black beans well
🥣 Blend all ingredients in a food processor for 2-3 mins until smooth (scrape down sides as needed). If too thick, add 1-2 tbsp water. Should be like thick frosting!
🧑‍🍳 Divide evenly into muffin tin & smooth tops
⏳ Bake for 20-25 mins (until tops are dry & edges pull away)
❄️ Cool for 30 mins before removing (they’re delicate!)

🛑 Storage tips:
📦 Airtight container for a few days
❄️ Fridge for longer freshness
🧊 Freeze for up to a month

🌿 Daily Movement: Encourage physical activity—it’s a great way to release tension and boost mood.

🌿 Balanced Meals: Stable blood sugar = stable emotions. Include protein, healthy fats, and slow-burning carbs at every meal.

🌿 Magnesium for Calm: Magnesium can help reduce stress and promote relaxation. Include Magnesium rich foods such dark leafy greens, nuts, wholegrains & even a little bit of dark chocolate into daily meals.
Other ways to get more magnesium include an Epsom salt bath 💦 just ¼ - ½ cup for kids will do or a magnesium spray applied to the soles of the feet.

These delicious salmon cakes are packed with omega-3s for brain health and are perfect for picky eaters! They're grain-free, easy to make, and a hit with kids.

Ingredients (Makes 6-8 cakes):
1 can (approx 400g) wild-caught salmon, drained and flaked
2 large eggs 🥚
1/4 cup almond flour (or cassava flour for nut-free) 🌰
1/4 cup mashed sweet potato (adds sweetness and texture!) 🍠
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley (optional for added greens) 🌿
1 small garlic clove, minced (or 1/4 tsp garlic powder) 🧄
2 tbsp ghee for frying
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Mixture:
In a mixing bowl, combine the salmon, eggs, almond flour, mashed sweet potato, parsley. Mix well until the mixture holds together.

2️⃣ Form the Cakes:
