Do you struggle with milia?

Milia are small, firm white bumps that form when keratin becomes trapped beneath the surface of the skin. They’re most commonly found around the eyes, but can also appear on the forehead and cheeks 🧖🏼‍♀️

A common cause of milia is dryness and dehydration. When the skin isn’t properly hydrated, dead skin cells can stack on top of each other, increasing the chance of keratin becoming trapped.

Introducing a vitamin A (retinol) can help stimulate healthy cell turnover and reduce the build up that leads to milia formation.

If you’re experiencing milia around the eye area, it’s important to use a targeted eye cream or gel rather than a regular moisturiser, as heavier or occlusive formulations can contribute to their development.

Want to know how we achieved these incredible melasma results? 👏🏼

You can see the darker, patches of pigmentation across our clients cheeks and forehead, this is melasma, a hormonal and sun induced form of hyperpigmentation that can be particularly stubborn to treat ☀️

We began by preparing our client’s skin with a strengthening home care routine to build resilience and support barrier function.

Once her skin was ready, we performed two Cosmelan peels spaced eight months apart to target the excess pigment at its source ✨

Following each Cosmelan resurfacing treatment, we supported the skin with a Stem Cell Recovery Facial to deeply hydrate and calm inflammation, helping to minimise irritation and optimise results.

Consistency was key. Daily use of the Cosmelan home care pack, including the application of the Cosmelan 2 pigment correcting cream for six months, played a vital role in achieving these beautiful, long term results 🤍
