The Royal Adelaide Show was a great time with the group, on the Wednesday Michaela and Adam were excited when we first walked in the pavilion and saw Humphrey and we all got photos, they did a lot of taste testing and looked around at all the different show bags .
Anthony and Rose went on the last Saturday, we did so much, they first did taste testing and Rose bought a calming herbal tea and I bought a tea as well. They then went on the haunted train, then the haunted house, the Ferris wheel and the bumper cars .They also went into the pirate house and the sky swing. We looked at all the things in the show except the animals, we did go into the baby animals but we all agreed that the pigs and others were too smelly 😂.
Rose left at 5.30 and Anthony and I went to the main arena to watch all the events and the fireworks.

Jack and Sean had a great respite weekend. On Saturday went to Hahndorf mini golf and then to mt Lofty for some hiking. When they got back to the house they were both so tired so had a well deserved rest before going out to dinner at the Salisbury Hotel, I do not recommend going there as we had to wait 5 mins before anyone seated us even though they saw us. The food was of poor quality and Jack has and adult size spaghetti which we paid $28 for, was luke warm , pasta was dry with minimal sauce. All our meals were horrible, Jack however was excellent and was so patient, only letting us know he had enough in a passive way at the end, we are so proud of how far Jack has come. Sunday we got up early to go to Mt Barker for the Overlander which goes from Mt Barker to Strathalbyn. The guys loved the train and had morning tea at the bakery with a walk around the town before heading off back to Mt Barker. We ended up having lunch at the Gumeracha Hotel which so accomodating, and such a difference on the previous night. Such a great weekend

Michaela at Bbop today, she was so confident with her new walker that she spent the whole time on the dance floor which she has never done before and even out danced both Charlie and myself. So very proud of her achievement

Adam has respite this weekend, tonight we caught the bus into the city and then the tram to the central market, I was very disappointed as they advertised illuminate but it wasn’t the best. The illuminate on north Tce was amazing. Adam wanted a fairy floss which he loved and enjoyed, the train trip back to the Salisbury interchange was also a highlight for Adam and he cupped his hands against the window to see . When we got back to the house he was ready for bed. It’s the most amazing and rewarding part of my job to share these experiences with our clients. Adam was so engaged and laughing the whole night. Tomorrow night Jack, Adam and Darren will be going to the zoo.he also helped Bwacha put together furniture, a new bed for our respite plus 2 sofa beds for staff , he did a great job.

We went to Jungle in Willunga today, it was Michaela’s first time there and she did a great job keeping her anxiety under control, Charlie and I were so proud of her and both Sean and Adam were supporting her which was so heartwarming.

Seans birthday yesterday and ICASPA had the best concert , everyone clapped, sang and applauded the performance. So proud of what they have achieved ###
