📦 Brisbane → Port Macquarie: Leg 1 Complete!

Today marks the end of an era — my beloved West End home has been packed up and emptied, ready for the next chapter.

As I prepare to relocate for my new role as Senior Lecturer and Course Director in Psychology at Charles Sturt University, this first leg of the move feels both surreal and symbolic. So many memories, milestones, and moments were made here — and now it’s time to carry them with me as I step into a new chapter.

📣 New Chapter Incoming!

I’m excited to share that I’ve accepted a new role as Senior Lecturer and Undergraduate Course Director in Psychology at Charles Sturt University 🎓

This opportunity allows me to combine two of my passions: training the next generation of psychologists and continuing to support the community through meaningful research in mental health.

📍 I’ll be relocating to Port Macquarie early August to take up the position - but I’m still here for you, Brisbane!

🗓️ In July, I have Saturday appointments available for psychological therapy and assessments (online or in-person). If you’re a current or previous client - or have been thinking of reaching out - now is the time to book in.

💻 From August onward, I’ll continue offering telehealth sessions on Saturdays via Joyce Vromen Psychology.

We talk a lot about barriers—but what actually works?

🧠 According to Bhargavi & Ashwin (2025), there are two key facilitators:

1️⃣ Acknowledging heterogeneity – Recognising how autism can show up differently in women
2️⃣ Systemic integration – Joined-up services that identify and support neurodivergence early

Diagnosis shouldn’t rely on luck or constant self-advocacy. It should be built into the system.
