Gentle souls, let me hold space for some truths that might feel heavy, but need to be spoken with love:
🤍 1 in 3 women experience birth trauma
🤍 1 in 7 develop PTSD symptoms
🤍 Most trauma comes not from emergencies, but from feeling unheard or dismissed
If birth trauma is visiting your heart, it might feel like:

Here’s a little about Dawn, in her own words:

I am a registered nurse and midwife. I trained in the UK and emigrated to Australia in 2008.

I have worked as a midwife for 24 years. I have recently become endorsed which means I can now provide Homebirth and Midwifery services in the Gympie area. My focus will be on empowerment and gentleness in the home setting for pregnancy, birth and postnatal care.

I also am a certified Thompson Method Breastfeeding Educator and have found The Thompson Method very useful in preventing ni**le damage with a “hands off” approach from the midwife, gently empowering the mother to breastfeed using her own natural instincts.

Dawn brings decades of experience, deep compassion, and a calm, empowering presence to every family she serves.
