Pain is a terrible indicator for improvement. Always focus on function.

If you focus on treating pain, dysfunction will road block progress and fuel recurrence. If instead you focus on addressing the dysfunction, pain will improve as a consequence and progress will be sustainable. Sometimes slow is fast, and more often than not instant pain relief only lasts an instant.

"When it comes to rehab, People think their body and their mind are two different things". - LUKE KANE - Founder MTP Health

The Mind-Body Connection.
We firmly believe that there is no separation between our mind and our body.
Unfortunately, this is often something that is discounted by people (both patients and practitioners), when dealing with pain and injury. What we know is that we have to respect the role our mind plays in both our experience of pain and our ability to physically recover.
Everything is controlled by our brain. From our ability to contract our muscles, to what we feel and experience, to ultimately how we recover and adapt.
When we forget this, we open the door for unsatisfying outcomes & poor results.

Women who perform weight-bearing and resistance exercises have been shown to have improved bone density and a decreased risk of developing osteoporosis.

The exercises you do for bone health should change throughout your lifetime as the focus shifts from optimising and maintaining muscle and bone strength in young and mid-adulthood to reducing bone loss in older age.

For those suffering from Osteoporosis - Onero™ is an innovative specifically designed exercise program.

With the expert support and guidance from the team at MTP Health Onero™ can help you regain strength, prevent fractures, and enhance your quality of life.

Surpassing self-imposed limitations. This is a big part of what expertise can do for you!

When you work with a place that has a lifetime of knowledge and experience as the grounding for its programs, you can be assured that the direction they send you on is the right one.

At MTP Health, we pride ourselves on our ability to do this. Our programs have been developed to be systematic so that no matter who is taking a session, the lifetime of experience that formed MTP Health is at the core of what is being delivered.

And that's why we are so passionate to come into work every single day.

It's because we know that when we work with people, we are able to exceed their wildest expectations, showing them that they are capable of far more than they ever thought.

If your rehab looks nothing like what you would usually do for training, then perhaps it's time to reconsider.

Rehab is simply a relative term...

In a literal sense, it means to restore to prior function. Yet in reality, it means to get a person to where they want to be so they can do what they want.

Yet in almost all cases, most peoples rehab rarely emulates the demands of what they're trying to get back to. And this is a huge problem.

When you come in for 'rehab' purposes, we're going to train you so that you can be better than ever before.

We're going to tell you why you got injured in the first place & what you can to avoid it happening ever again.

That's the way the human body works & is what Improving The Way You Move is all about.

Our Story

MTP Health exists to inspire and enhance health and human performance. We achieve this by bringing together a team of specialised allied health and fitness professionals and providing world class services across 3 key pillars: Clinical, Fitness and Education. Our first clinic was founded in 2012 as Move Train Perform, with the purpose of closing the gap between the medical/health field and strength and conditioning. We wanted to provide understanding, education, and empowerment for people so they could take control of their health, rehab, and training - continuing to stay active right through the process. As Move Train Perform grew and our services expanded so has our approach to health care and performance training. We understand that no single practitioner or trainer holds all the answers, that an integrated team approach is the way to help people achieve all their health and performance goals. Along with the development of our services, we decided that the business needed to represent the full breadth of what we provide. So to coincide with the opening of our flagship health and performance centre in St Leonards NSW in September 2016 our business was renamed to MTP Health.
