Stop & have a think.
When was the last time your issue was actually resolved when you went to the physio?
Did you simply go in, get some advice & some basic exercises, then after you no longer noticed any pain think "wow, glad that I'm no longer in pain & can get back to doing what I was doing before".
If this sounds a bit like you, then perhaps it's time to start having a deeper look at why your body isn't quite feeling the way you want it to.
When you really stop & think about it, it's no wonder why we have frequent issues. From nagging aches & pains, to not feeling the best when we move, to flat our getting injured.
There's a pretty simple reason.
Our body is a function of what we do regularly.
As humans we have the capacity to adapt.
We adapt to the movement we do (or don't do). We adapt to the way we sit & the lifestyle we live.
Yet, we also evolved to be able to move. Prehistoric Humans have been shown to have walked around 16km per day, while engaging in frequent movement & lifting throughout the day.
This is why exercise is constantly being shown as good for us.
Our body is simply designed to do it.
When we don't exercise, our body starts to adapt to this. It becomes weaker, less robust. This is where pain & injury starts to creep in.
At MTP we're acutely aware of this. We know that most of the pain & injury issues that people experience are a function of all of the things they're not doing, as opposed to what they are. To resolve this issue for good, we need to teach people about their bodies. We need to show them a new way of moving so they can give their body the movement stimulus it needs to become robust & pain free.
That's why we are so passionate about our ascension process.
Through structured group classes, we take people from pain & injury all the way to their ideal of movement & performance.
Along the way we work with specialised exercise principles that carefully challenge the body at it's capacity to provide the adaptation we need to live a long & healthy life.
