🌟 Meet Liz – Care Coordinator at Evercare Support

Hi, I’m Liz and I’m one of Evercare Support’s Care Coordinators.

I’ve been working in the disability support space for 5.5 years, with a strong background in mental health and an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management. This mix of frontline experience and leadership training means I understand both the day-to-day challenges you might face and the bigger picture when it comes to navigating the NDIS.

I’m passionate about building strong, respectful relationships and making sure you feel confident and supported in your day-to-day life. Mental health and wellbeing are at the heart of what I do so I know how important it is to have someone in your corner who really listens and can help take the pressure off.

Here’s how I can help:

✔️ I make sure everything we do meets NDIS practice standards
✔️ I’m part of our 24/7 on-call team – here when you need us most

Meet Mia! One of Evercare Supports Care Coordinators.

A little about me! I’ve got a background in complex disability support including spinal injury care, and early childhood education and care. and I’ve been supporting people in the disability space for 5 years. I also have lived experience with people with disabilities in my own family and I’m all about making sure your supports actually work for you and fit into your life, not the other way around!

So what do I actually do?

I’m here to make things smoother behind the scenes, like:
✔️ Dedicated to making your roster work for you
✔️ Keeping everything on track with NDIS practice standards
✔️ Being available 24/7 if something urgent comes up
✔️ Staying in touch with your team – like support coordinators, therapists, allied health team and plan managers – so everyone’s working together

Having a Care Coordinator means you’ve got someone who’s always looking out for the big picture. Someone who listens, understands your goals, and helps take care of the details so you don’t have to.

🧡 National Child Protection Week | 7th to 13th September 2025 🧡

Next week, we join organisations across the country to support National Child Protection Week, championed by NAPCAN.

As a disability service provider, we know that children with disability can face greater risks. That is why we take our responsibility seriously and ensure child safety is at the core of everything we do.

Our pledge is simple but strong:

- We embed child-safe practices into all our services
- We train every staff member to recognise and respond to signs of abuse
- We report concerns without hesitation
- We listen to and amplify the voices of children
- We support our families to build safe, connected environments

Child abuse and neglect are preventable. By working together, we can help create a safer, more inclusive Australia for all children.

Spring adventures have officially begun! ☀️🌿
How good is it that the weather’s warming up so we can get out and about more?

This week, our team supported one of our participants on a visit to the zoo, and he had an awesome time exploring and checking out all the animals.

The kangaroos were a clear favourite, and he was especially fascinated by the Tasmanian tiger exhibit too 🐾🦘
