Trusting the process…

This year’s Yoga Teacher trainees are now embarking on practice teaching to their communities!

This step is naturally a bit daunting but it’s a massive first step to build confidence. AND an even bigger step into Seva, selfless service.

Getting out from under our own doubts and fears and looking outward and cherishing others, demonstrating kindness and presence for others, and being in service of others.

Without expecting anything back, the heart fills with joy, contentment, genuine happiness and the deepest sense of satisfaction, beyond any ‘goal’ or ‘achievement’.

So excited for the 22 teacher trainees between Sunshine Coast and Perth 🙌

If this journey is something you’re contemplating, early bird enrolments are now being accepted for the Nov ‘25 intake Sunshine Coast, with in-person training days held at the Wellbeing Centre Eudlo.

The more intensive/immersive nature of the Nov program means it’s perfect if you live afar and want to drive/fly in-out for the 4 x in-person training blocks.

✨You are warmly invited to attend the Yoga and Meditation Retreat guided by Erin Lee at Chenrezig Institute - Wellbeing Centre - Friday 11 July to Monday 14 July✨

During this 3-night/4-day Yoga + Meditation Retreat, you’ll participate in gentle embodied practices (asana, pranayama) and guided concentration and contemplative meditations, to reawaken/deepen your mindfulness and introspection practice for greater inner calm and stillness.

Throughout this retreat, you’ll be guided to maintain your mindfulness practice during all scheduled activities AND you’ll also be encouraged to maintain the practice between scheduled sessions. In honour of this, both Saturday and Sunday morning will be in noble silence (up until 12pm lunch break).

With plenty of space offered in the schedule, you’ll have time to enjoy the grounds of Chenrezig Institute, maybe even read one of the books located in the onsite library, or just have some time to yourself.✨

This year's Yoga Teacher Trainees (Sunshine Coast and Perth) are now half way through the 200hr program.

Trainees will soon be ready to run their community practice teaching classes and I'm bouncing-off-the-ceiling excited!

Not just for the teacher trainees...

But for all the people who are about to receive the teachings of yoga, through the lens of mindfulness.

Being a yoga teacher isn’t about performing or mastering complex poses.

(yes, you'll learn about the importance of physical postures—their alignment and intention)

The Yoga Teacher Training 200hr program trains you in holding space for others to have their own self-realisations. You have to get out of your own way (and your own "performance" habits, imposter syndrome and self-doubt) and instead turn your attention to others with your heart-full of compassion and service.

There's an art to this!

And it's learnable.

If you stay up to date with the news of the world — such as the journey of the Madleen, the plight of Gaza, and other war and conflicted populations and environments, then you might be familiar with overwhelm.

It's why it can feel easier to turn away. Or react loudly fuelled by uncontained anger.

There's another way though — which helps everyone in the long run: Love in Action.

It's something you can do from exactly where you are.
Praying, meditating, speaking up, and wishing PEACE for every living being in suffering right now.

It requires sitting with/leaning into the heartbreak 💔. It's a very courageous — and radical act.

But when we take the time to do this, what we'll discover is the same war and conflict plays out in our own minds—it's a total battlefield of destructive thoughts, rising tensions, harmful weapons, and surging emotions that wish to seduce us to act rashly out of self-preservation.

Soften the inner conflict, and we can see more clearly how to act WITH PURPOSE —not reactivity (which only fuels the beast).

It's the solution the world’s decision makers need…to see beyond self-interest to something greater—a power rooted in love and connection, instead of greedy and finite land and resource grabs, and “power over”.

Put Love in Action now. Begin with familiarising yourself with your own mind. Create spaciousness and compassion within, and step into the world and speak up 🙌 armed not with reactive weapons but with true, transformative power.

This true power is rising - may our energy meet with it and grow it.

Energy flows where awareness goes.

Whether or not this message speaks to you today, may your find peace within, for the benefit of all.

Growing Presence and Purpose

The highest intention for all that align with Mindful Yoga School is that we each deepen our own presence, compassion and love, and then become a demonstration to show others how to do the same.

Yoga in action (on or off the mat) is about presence through both movement and into consciousness - of body, speech, mind and heart.

Mindfulness is a way to live on purpose with kindness.

Meditation helps us to cultivate meaningful qualities and create a more balanced, peaceful and inspired life.
