🌹🐝🐝

What a joy it is to grow older .
What a gift to be given days where I can
simply celebrate breath .
Where I do not mind the lines around my eyes
or the lines around my mouth from all the times
that I have smiled .
Where I have had the honour of carrying space
for memories from both the parts of my life
that held suffering and the parts of my life that
held overwhelming beauty .
And I'd like to think that I have grown wiser
and braver and kinder because of it.
I'd like to think that I have learned about long roads and tall mountains
and trying harder than I ever knew I could .
And I'd like to think that I have stumbled upon
New found peace
And that the best is somehow yet to come .
Not because my body will grow stronger
But because my heart will ..

Introducing Honey and Myrrh ✨️🕊

Join us on this learning journey as we begin walking as newly certified death doulas 💕

Looking back and reflecting, we easily recognise with our combined experiences in supporting births over the years, that this is the obvious and natural progression. It has never been lost on us just what an honour it is to be witness to the birth of new life, and now ....we come to include the end of life! Recognising the profound sacred gift that it is.
Just like birth these precious moments can often get lost within the medical and funeral industries. We hope that as we our ourselves continue to explore the possibilities and choices of doing Dying, Death and Grief differently... that we can support and inspire others on their own unique journey's.

We are not qualified counsellor's and do not provide such services, but with personal experience in grief and loss and with a passion for sharing what we have learnt in our studies, we simply hope to co create a gentle and safe Hive that is relatable, informative and caring.
