Your digestive health affects far more than just your intestines; it shapes your energy, mood, hormones and skin.

Here are 5 signs your gut might be out of balance:

1 - Persistent bloating or irregular bowel habits

2 - Feeling flat, tired or foggy after meals

3 - Skin breakouts, eczema or flare-ups

4 - Increasing food sensitivities

5 - Low mood, anxiety or restless sleep

Feeling bloated or heavy after meals?

It might be time to bring more of these onto your plate.

Life is busy and we are all guilty of rushing through our meals - me included 😬 Often digestion suffers. I’m finding incorporating these foods into my meals each day also reminds me to slow down and engage.

Less bloating & more food enjoyment!

‘Is this your gut talking?’

Gut symptoms are not something you just have to live with!

Sometimes it’s as simple as:

* Staying hydrated
* Stop eating on the run
* Slowing down (and chewing) while you eat
* Make sure you get enough fibre (variety of plant based foods)
* Avoid highly processed foods

If you’ve tried the basics and still feel off, it might be time to take a closer look. There’s usually a reason your gut’s not happy and there is plenty you can do about it.

A Clinical Nutritionist is a trained professional who assesses and treats health conditions using individualised nutrition, lifestyle and environmental strategies — all grounded in natural and functional medicine principles 🌿✨

🎓 In Australia, you need a Bachelor degree to practice as a Clinical Nutritionist.
📚 We use the latest research and clinical evidence to guide our decisions.

We're qualified to prescribe dietary changes and supplements to:
• ✅ Correct nutrient deficiencies
• 🔬 Support therapeutic effects at a cellular or physiological level
And yes — we’re trained to know if supplements will interact with your medications!

🪪 As a Clinical Nutritionist, I’m also a Certified Practicing Nutritionist (CPN) — meaning I meet the standards set by the Australasian Association and Register of Practicing Nutritionists (AARPN).
CPNs are recognised by the government for private health insurance rebates, and we’re committed to ongoing professional development and providing ethical care 💚

You’ve probably heard the buzz around protein – but why is it so important?

Functions:
Protein isn’t just for gym junkies! Yes it’s essential for building and repairing muscles and bones, but it also plays a key role as chemical messengers (hello, hormones!) and enzymes that help your body function every day.

Benefits of protein:
✅ Helps control blood sugar: Protein slows the absorption of glucose into your bloodstream, meaning fewer spikes and crashes – keeping your energy and mood more stable.
✅ Keeps you feeling full: This means fewer cravings and mindless snacking.
✅ Supports your nervous system: Protein provides amino acids that are crucial for brain function, mood balance, and a healthy stress response.
✅ Assists with recovery and resilience – especially when life is busy, stressful, or you’re working out regularly.

How much do you need? The Aus Dietary Guidelines recommend:
👩‍🦰 46g/day for women
🧔 64g/day for men
But with our busy, active and often stressful lives, you might need more – especially if you're training or under physical or emotional stress.

A more realistic goal for many adults is 1.2–1.5g of protein per kg of body weight.
So for someone weighing 70kg, that’s around 84–105g of protein per day.

That’s why you keep hearing:
✅ 25–30g per meal !!
I also recommend
✅ 5–10g in snacks
