🚑 MOB — BEEN TO ED LATELY?
We hope you’re keepin’ well, but if you’ve had to visit the Emergency Department and wondered why some people get seen quicker than others… here’s the yarn. 🙌🏾
Our EDs are flat-out busy places, and to keep everyone safe, a triage nurse checks you first and puts you into a category based on how serious your condition is.
Here’s how the categories work:
🔥 Category 1 – life‑threatening (seen straight away)
⚡ Category 2 – very urgent
⏳ Category 3 – urgent
🟡 Category 4 – semi‑urgent
🟢 Category 5 – non‑urgent
So if you’re waiting longer than someone who walked in after you, it’s not because you’ve been forgotten — it’s because someone else may be in a more serious way. Our staff are doing their best to see everyone as quickly and safely as possible. ❤️🩹
The good news?
👉🏾 If your condition is serious, you’ll be seen immediately.
Not sure if it’s an emergency?

Look after yourselves and each other, mob. 💛🖤❤️
