Becoming parents was a most transformative and challenging experience for us. Breastfeeding, navigating baby sleep, parenting with a hearing loss, wanting to be responsive and follow baby’s cues, but feeling overwhelmed by all the noise and conflicting advice…

Hi, my name is Jess, and although every parent’s journey is unique, I know my story is not uncommon.

As an Audiologist, Speech Pathologist and Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC/Possums) practitioner, I help families build confidence, connection, and joy in their baby’s first year.

You and your baby already have everything you need, but I can support families with things like:
👂 Antenatal preparation for parents who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
🤱 Infant Feeding (bottle, breast and solids) assessment and support
💞 Establishing cued care and responsive relationships with baby
🦻🏻 Supporting parents navigating a new diagnosis of hearing loss in their baby
🗣️ Laying good foundations for your little one’s speech and language development

Free 15 min quick connect calls, affordable 30 min group workshops, one on one consults, Sunny coast home visits, national telehealth, multidisciplinary team member, presentations at your next event, and more coming in 2026!

Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here. 🤍

This week we held the very first Young Adults with Hearing Loss online group meeting — and I’m still processing how meaningful it was.

What stood out most wasn’t the beautiful diversity of participants, the structure, or even the topics we covered.
It was the relief in the room.
The sense of “oh… I’m not the only one.”
Navigating young adulthood with hearing loss can feel isolating — navigating work, study, relationships, self-advocacy, fatigue, and identity, often without ever having met someone who truly gets it.
This group exists to change that.
A space to show up as you are.
To learn, reflect, share strategies, and build confidence — together.

I’m deeply grateful to the group members who trusted this space enough to be there from the very beginning. What we created on Thursday night reminded me exactly why this work matters.

If you’re a young adult with hearing loss — or you support someone who is — I’d love for you to follow along as this community continues to grow.

NEXT MEETING: 15th January 2026, 7pm AEST.

Here’s the part we don’t talk about enough 👇
Sometimes your baby needs to stay close and you still want to foster loving relationships with family — especially at Christmas.

Those two things can exist at the same time.

Babies come in all shapes and sizes.
Some are perfectly happy being passed around the room.
Others dial right up the moment they’re separated from a parent.

Neither is good. Neither is bad.
And it can change day to day — even hour to hour.

Parents are just as varied.
Some feel safest keeping their babies close.
Some like regular “touch points.”
Others are totally comfortable with their baby settling in others’ arms for long stretches.

You’re not being rude.
You’re not “spoiling” your baby.
And you’re not standing in the way of connection.

You’re responding to cues — and that is the foundation of secure relationships.

✨ Save this for Christmas gatherings
✨ Share with a parent who feels the pressure
