Never Underestimate Constipation

Constipation is when the stools are dry and hard, the number of times you visit the toilet dramatically decreases which gives you great discomfort. Irregular lifestyle, mental stress, diet habits, environmental changes are the main cause of constipation. If constipation last for a certain duration often you may experience headache, anxiety, lassitude or have rough skin. It is highly beneficial to apply some acupressure to promote bowel movement.

Recently there was a study done where they observed a healthy group of people not to go to the toilet for 90 hours. It resulted that they experienced serious heaviness in the head, insomnia, dizziness, loss of appetite and a thick coating appeared on the tongue. After the study was finished they all experienced that these symptoms disappeared.

Things that benefits bowel movement.
1. Cupping around the belly button: cupping relaxes the abdominal muscles and promotes the activity of your digestive system.
2. Moxibustion around the belly button: moxibustion invigorates the circulation of qi in the abdominal area which then promotes the movement of your bowels.
3. Skipping with a skipping rope: jumping up and down vertically moves your intestines which then promotes the bowel movements.
4. Acupressure of the lower abdomen

High Blood Pressure the silent killer (Acupressure points to help HBP)

One the main reason to a bad blood circulation is because of your blood pressure. High blood pressure may be caused due to poor blood circulation of the body as it need more pressure to move the blood in our body.

When one is overweight the blood pressure rises, when you lose the weight the blood pressure decreases. When one is overweight it requires more blood to flow in the body, thus need higher blood pressure to move the blood. If there is some disorder or pain around the body the blood pressure rises as well and as well as your age contributes to an important factor.

From a TCM point of view, high blood pressure is considered to be an imbalance of emotions, imbalance of liver, or the heart. Which is different from the Western medicine, where they do not consider liver as the reasons to high blood pressure.

These are some of the acupressure points which will benefit HBP when pressed often.
1. LV3-태충(tai chong)
2. Pressing or gently massaging back of the neck.

A combination of Acupuncture and Moxibustion treatment is also a natural way of controlling your blood pressure.

Is Cupping Treatment Really Effective???

When people see cupping marks on other people at the beach or the gym a lot of people gets frightened of the bruises that it causes. However, cupping treatment is one of the safest treatment and has minimal side-effects.

It is especially effective for people for people with stiffness or pain, and the results are quite remarkable, the effects are immediate.

After a cupping treatment often it will leave a bruise mark, and these bruise marks are worse when there is more imbalance or in TCM we call it stagnation. And there is less bruise marks when the body is healthier.

There is a point called Zhi Shi (志室,자실,BL-52), by applying cups on this point we are able to identify the strength of the sexual function. Cupping of this point also treats lower back pain.
