We are delighted to welcome Nick Taylor to our Board.
Nick’s story is one of resilience, courage, and community. After a spinal cord injury in South Africa in 1998, he rediscovered his love of sport through wheelchair basketball. His journey took him all the way to representing Australia at the London 2012 Paralympics and winning silver, and being crowned a World Champion in 2014. Nick knows firsthand how access, support, and opportunity can transform lives.
Professionally, Nick brings over 20 years of experience in management consulting, IT, and finance, alongside extensive involvement in the for-purpose and disability sectors. He currently serves on the boards of Scope Australia, The Sargood Centre, and Wheelchair Basketball Australia.
Nick is also a devoted husband and father, deeply passionate about helping people with spinal cord injuries regain independence. We are honoured to have his lived experience, expertise, and heart guiding our organisation as we continue our mission to make every day matter. 💛
