Really good news. We got Emi home after 6 days of intensive care and without having to remove her gallbladder. She is not out of the woods completely yet, but her amazing vet said she wd heal more quickly at home. The enzyme levels so scary have reduced and she ate a BBQ chook dinner. Mum is on strict orders to get her weight down and much less treats. Emi I am sure won't agent. Lol
I would like to thank Michelle the owner of North Richmond Vets and her team for her exceptional care. I didn't think I could ever get a vet like Rob Zamitt again after his retirement. But Michelle is fantastic and a friend of Rob's too.
Wd also like to thank my dear friend Belinda for her support and for introducing me to Michelle.
I wd also like to thank all my friends, healers and clients for their kind messages and prayers. Keep em coming please. Xx

Make your No1 goal This Year to improve Your Sleep The quality of sleep you get is as important as how much sleep you get. If you toss and turn or wake up in the middle of the night, then you're not at optimal level the next day. Sleep affects everything - mental health, physical health, relationships, work, and your ability to get stuff done. And if you don't sleep well, then your immune system can be depressed and you are less likely to be well. Quality sleep should be a priority for Everyone. Her are some of my favourite tips for getting better sleep.

Diffusing a mixture of Cedarwood& Lavender Essential Oils is definitely my favourite one for sleep.
With the onset of sleep the production of the stress hormone Cortisol is supposed to decline. But when we are very stressed cortisol levels stay high and keep us awake.
Lavender contains linalool, which slows brain waves & inhibits neurotransmitters. This helps relieve anxiety by soothing the central nervous system, helping us relax and to drift off to sleep without the use of harmful drugs. There are many studies which conclude that Lavender is a natural sedative and sleep aid. And it smells heavenly as well!

Cedarwood stimulates the limbic region of the brain, the centre of our emotions. Deep in the middle of the brain is the Pineal Gland which secretes the hormone melatonin, a hormone normally produced at night to help us sleep. It maintains circadian rhythm & regulates reproductive hormones. Cedarwood stimulates the Pineal gland making it secrete more of the sleepy hormone Melatonin.

Sometimes a Powerful Synergy Arises from the Blending of 2 Powerhouse Oils! So Consider Diffusing a Combination of Both These Magical Sleepy-time Oils At Bedtime!

Update on our beautiful Emi. She still isn't eating. Almost 8 days with only one very small bit of soft food 3 days ago. Levels of certain liver and gallbladder enzymes very high. The vet asked us to come up today to talk. She said she recommended trying to continue with the news and drip for one more day. After this she wd have to consider removing her gallbladder and flushing her bile duct. Severe for an 11 year old with a slight heart murmur. She told us she was extremely confused as Emi is still very bright and quite alert and active, which is why she wanted to wait. She suggested we take her for a walk around the lake outside the building to give her a break from the cage. So she removed the drip and we went for a walk. We decided to have lunch and keep her with us a bit longer so went and had a pub lunch. I couldn't believe it. Rob ordered a Reuben brisket sandwich and she started her familiar dance, saying Dad can I have some. We didn't know if we should but Rob gave her 3 pieces which she ate. Hoping this is a good sign.

Happy new year everyone. Not a good start for us as we had to rush our beautiful dog Emi to the vets. Vomiting and not eating. We took her to a new vet as our dear Rob Zamitt has retired. Michelle from North Richmond vets is very caring and impressive. Recommended by our friend Belinda. Emi is in good hands but can I ask you to say a little prayer for her as she is very unwell. But this morning ate a very small amount of food. Not eaten for 6 days. Thanks Sarah

I love this post shared by my friend Kylie Bryant but written by the lovele Frances Fuller.
From the time you smell something until your body naturally reacts is almost instantaneous, showing you just how powerful the sense of smell is.

Let's take a look at the science behind this amazing reaction in your body.

1️⃣ Take a deep BREATH

As you draw a deep breath, olfactory receptor cells in your nasal cavity spring into action, sending electrical impulses to the olfactory bulb. This bulb, in turn, relays crucial information to the limbic system in the brain.

2️⃣ LIMBIC SYSTEM

Often dubbed the emotional epicenter of the brain, the limbic system encompasses various components, including the hippocampus and amygdala. This intricate network not only regulates memory but also influences mood, capable of eliciting emotions and triggering physical responses with remarkable immediacy.

3️⃣ THE BODY'S REACTION

Scents wield a profound physiological influence on the body. Thanks to the intimate connection between smell and memory, a particular fragrance can conjure feelings of comfort, while others might induce heightened alertness. This sensory stimulation prompts the brain to unleash natural chemicals into the body, fostering sensations of calmness, relaxation, invigoration, energy, or refreshment. The interplay between the aroma and the brain's associations dictates the ensuing bodily response.

Each encounter with a new scent becomes etched in your memory, intricately linked to the surrounding elements—people, places, or events.

Subsequently, when that scent wafts through the air once more, it effortlessly rekindles the recollection of that initial event, acting as a catalyst for memories, moods, and emotions.

Aren’t our bodies fascinating? 🌈🦋🦄💫🎶
