I think many people living with chronic illness can relate to this. When one health challenge piles on to the next consistently, even the tiniest new issue can make you reach the ‘enough is enough’ point. Overwhelm takes over. You start thinking, can I just get a break?
When this happens, I find journaling to be extremely helpful, as I can start focusing on what IS going well, even if that is ‘just’ the ability to breathe. Gratitude is the antidote to resentfulness and many other negative feelings that can arise with and too many ‘things that don’t kill me but make me stronger’.
