The Emerging Lecturer Awards at The Fine Edge of Dentistry 2026 are open to early-career dental graduates across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Present a topic of your choice as part of the Scientific Program. Presentations are assessed on both the quality of your presentation and, where applicable, the strength of your research.

Shortlisted applicants will present in Sydney on 19 September 2026 and will receive complimentary registration for Saturday, 19 September 2026.

Two awards of $2,500 are available.

If you are looking to develop your presentation skills, share your ideas, and build your professional profile, this is an opportunity to get involved.

Eric is one of two recipients of the Dr Elizabeth Fanning Scholarship, which fully covers the registration fee for the Primary Dental Sciences Preparation Course. This scholarship supports early-career dentists and final-year dental students in advancing their knowledge and skills.

✨ Eric shares how this scholarship will support his career path:
"I am very honoured and grateful to be a recipient of the Dr Elizabeth Fanning Scholarship. I am a new graduate dentist currently working as a House Officer in an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery unit. As I prepare to sit the Primary Dental Sciences Examination, the preparation course provides a structured framework to guide my learning. It offers the opportunity to consolidate my foundational science knowledge, inform my clinical decision-making and engage with colleagues at a similar stage of training.
