🚨 Do your abs feel weak after pregnancy, even years down the line?

🚨 Have you been told that you have ab separation?

🧐 What can I do?

Although a reduction of the separation is not guaranteed, specific abdominal exercises re-load the connective tissue so it can become stronger and more efficiently distribute the force from your ab muscles.

✅ Follow us to see 4 levels of a crunches suitable for diastases rehab.

💡 Level 1:

Deep core activations: Flatten your back such that there is a ‘blueberry’ space beneath your spine on the bed/floor. Bring your hips gentle together as if pulling them with a string or “zipping up your jeans”. You should feel a ‘slide’ (no bulge!) beneath your fingers placed in the soft spot when falling off your hip bone.

DM or call us on 9740 5454 if you have any questions or if you’d like your ab separation assessed and treated.

🚨 Lower back pain is one of the leading causes of pain and disability around the world.

🙌🏽 The physio’s here at PhysioHub Wiley Park are well trained in effectively managing the pain and dysfunction associated with problems in this area.

🤨 What causes lower back pain?

➡️ Lower back pain is caused by irritation to structures in the back.

➡️ This includes muscles, ligaments, discs, nerves and bones.

➡️ It can occur following a simple movement, for example, bending forward or twisting, or following more complex and forceful movements of the lower spine.

🤨 What are the symptoms of lower back pain?

➡️ Lower back pain can cause a dull or strong ache in your lower back. This can be made worse by movement.

The pain can be in the middle of the back, to one side or on both sides of the spine.

➡️ Often, you may feel the pain preventing you from ‘straightening up’ when standing.

➡️ It can also radiate down into the buttock, back of the thigh, calf, ankle and foot.

🤨 What should YOU do if YOU have lower back pain?

✅ If you have lower back pain, DM, book online or call us on 9740 5454. Our physiotherapists will conduct an assessment, explain your diagnosis, and start treatment to help you get back to living the life you love!
