๐ŸŒŸ The Power of Healthy Conflict: A Lesson in Leadership ๐ŸŒŸ

As a leader, there will inevitably come a time when you need to navigate difficult conversations with your employees. In these situations, embracing healthy conflict is the only way forward.

I've had the opportunity to witness both scenarios in action, and I'd like to share the outcomes of each approach:

When you shift your focus onto the problem rather than the person involved:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Your employees feel supported and understood.
๐Ÿ‘‰ They are empowered to express their perspectives and seek assistance when facing challenges.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Motivation levels soar, leading to improved performance.
๐Ÿ‘‰ They become an invaluable asset, fostering loyalty that lasts a lifetime.

By taking this approach, you can swiftly get to the root of the problem and find effective solutions.

Conversely, when you shift your focus onto the person involved:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Employees may feel blamed and attacked.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Trust is eroded, leading to a sense of betrayal.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Self-confidence, both personal and in your leadership, takes a hit.
๐Ÿ‘‰ The company's reputation and culture suffer as a result.

A true leader always prioritizes their people, turning problem-solving into a team effort rather than a blame game.

๐Ÿ  Scared of trying something new?

Are you familiar with that mix of excitement and nervousness that comes when you embark on a new journey?

Right now, I'm in the middle of that wild ride as we move into our new, but old (it's more than 100 yrs old ๐Ÿ˜‰) house in Australia! ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ

Let me give you the lowdown on this thrilling adventure:

First things first, I've never lived in the stand-alone house before. It's a whole new chapter filled with excitement and a touch of the unknown.๐Ÿก

And get this, folksโ€”I've always been accustomed to having two bathrooms in my previous apartments, but this place has just one! ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

But wait, there's more! The movers decided to make us wait a good two hours past the scheduled time. Talk about a surprise twist, right?

I bet you've been through similar experiences when moving into your dream home, am I right? ๐Ÿก

Even amidst the exhaustion and unexpected twists, there's an inner calm that washes over me when I think about turning this house into our cozy sanctuary. ๐Ÿคฉ

I have choice of being scared off and not trying at all or jump into in with open arms.

And I always choose later...

So, here's my approach when it comes to starting something new, and it applies to more than just moving:

Instead of sweating the small stuff and wearing myself out, I choose to focus on the good stuff that surrounds me in the present moment, as well as every day. Let those positive vibes flow! โœจ๏ธ

Oh, and guess what? I've also learned to be a problem-solving superstar. Rather than dwelling on the challenges, I redirect my energy towards finding creative solutions. It's all about tackling those hurdles with a smile!

These two game-changing strategies have become my secret weapons for embracing fresh starts. They make me feel like I can take on anything and conquer the world. ๐ŸŒŽ

๐Ÿ”ง Creating supportive systems is the key to achieving your goals.

๐ŸŒ  Without these systems, your goals may remain mere wishes.

๐Ÿ’ช However, with the right systems in place, not only can you fulfil your goals, but you can surpass them.

๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ When I embarked on my bodybuilding journey, I struggled to show up in gym consistently.

๐Ÿ’ก That's when I had to discover my deeper purpose for working out.

๐Ÿ“… Together with my personal trainer, I crafted a long-term plan, including a regular gym routine and a healthy diet.

These systems provided unwavering support throughout my journey.

๐ŸŽ–๏ธ Needless to say, within just six months of starting my training (back in 2016), I not only stepped onto the stage but also emerged victorious in a few competitions.

โš™๏ธ These supporting systems continue to fuel my commitment to the gym and lead a balanced, healthy life.

๐Ÿ”“ Unlock Your True Potential: 5 Steps to Harnessing Identity-Based Habits! ๐Ÿš€

Struggling to stick with new habits?

In our last post, we explored the balance of challenge, achievability, and consistency for maintaining healthy habits.

Now, let's dive into identity-based habits!

The secret? Aligning behaviour with your true self. Break free from mismatched identities and unlock your full potential.

Here's my personal challenge: becoming a morning person. I identified as a night owl, but I wanted to change. (Read the full story on slides)

So, how did I bridge the gap?

1. Reflect on values and aspirations: Early mornings provide me personal time for self-care and prepare for the day ahead, reminding me of the importance of waking up early.

2. Visualise the future self: I envisioned my ideal self, proactive and self-caring and staying ahead of my day.

3. Start small and build momentum: I adjusted my routine gradually, setting my alarm few mins earlier each day.

4. Reinforce with positive associations: Positive reminders aligned my identity with being a morning person.

5. Celebrate small wins: Daily celebrations and habit tracker fuelled my motivation. Reach out to me if you want to get access to my habit tracker.

Shift your identity with these questions:
1. Why does this habit matter?
2. What does fully embodying this habit look like?
3. Break it down into achievable steps.
4. Embrace the positive experiences it brings.
5. Celebrate progress every day.

Lasting change comes from aligning habits with your true identity.

Why aren't you sticking to your healthy habits?

Any guesses??? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ญ

It's not because:

โŒ You aren't motivated enough
โŒ You're too busy
โŒ You're not seeing the results you want
โŒ Your schedule always changes

There are 2 main reasons why you aren't sticking to your habits:

1๏ธโƒฃ You are making it too hard.
2๏ธโƒฃ Your deeper beliefs don't align with your habits.

Let's dive into the first reason today! ๐ŸŽฏ

So, how are you making it too hard?

There can be two sides to it:

1๏ธโƒฃ Your healthy habit is either too easy or too hard.

That's where our Goldilocks rule fits perfectly! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿป

You want to find a perfect balance, making it achievable for you, but also not too boring. It should be just right! ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿป

2๏ธโƒฃ You are trying to do it all in one go instead of taking bite-sized steps.

Even if you spend just 5 minutes a day, consistency is key! ๐Ÿ—“๏ธโฐ

By approaching it this way, it feels achievable and you can grow without feeling overwhelmed. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Remember, if you improve 1% every day, you will be 37% better in a year! ๐Ÿ“ˆ
