Why I Love What I Do

I am a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, Paediatric Massage Consultant and an Early Childhood Teacher. I have worked with children, babies and their families since 2002 in a range of settings.

I am a Mum to 3 beautiful children and live on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Massaging my own babies and children has been such a rewarding part of being a mum. I have found time in the day to massage my children since they were newborns, even if it's only for a few minutes. It is amazing how it makes both you and your child feel, the instant state of mental bliss and bonding.

I started to research different massage techniques, and quickly discovered this is something I am truly passionate about. Whilst on maternity leave with my third baby, I decided I wanted to learn all I could about infant massage, and studied to become qualified in teaching infant massage. I wanted everyone to know the benefits of massage, not just for the baby, but also for the person giving the massage.

And so, after gaining my qualifications, Munchkin Massage was born!

I am available to teach in a variety of settings, based on each families needs. I teach techniques for relaxation, with a strong focus on helping with colic, wind, constipation and reflux in babies. I am also passionate about the benefits massage has for maternal mental health.

I run one hour sessions over 4 weeks, which will cover a full body massage sequence for babies, massage techniques for older children, what oils to use and when to massage, the benefits of massage for baby and mum, touch relaxation, lymphatic exercises and how to provide relief from colic, wind, constipation and reflux.

I can also come to you for a private sessions at your home.

There is also the option to attend a one hour introductory session to infant massage. This can be held in small groups (mothers groups, play groups etc) or can be done in a private session. This session is designed for parents who want to know the basic techniques of infant and child massage.

I am qualified to provide presentations on infant massage to professional groups (hospital staff, natural therapists, early childhood health nurses and educators, etc)
