Helen Keller was an American author, activist, and lecturer who became blind and deaf as a toddler. She overcame immense challenges to become the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree, inspiring millions around the world and advocating for disability rights, women’s suffrage, and workers’ rights.

At Amigo Personal Care, her story reminds us of the power of support, inclusion, and human connection. Every day, our support workers walk alongside our participants, empowering them to live with independence, confidence, and dignity.

✨ Meet María – Support Worker at Amigo Personal Care ✨

María has been in Australia for nearly 10 years and brings over 2.5 years of experience as a support worker. She is someone who loves helping others, never judges, and builds genuine, positive relationships with every client she supports. Professional, responsible, empathetic, and warm — she always brings her best to every shift.

Outside of work, María enjoys traveling, staying active, and living a healthy lifestyle. She’s also a yoga teacher and exercise coach.

We’re proud to have her as a vital part of our team and grateful for the incredible care she provides every day. 💙
