I used to say dumb things to my clients like “Find the time” or “You just need to prioritise your training”
I said that because I used to be up at 5Am every day, work for a few hours, train during the middle of the day for 2 hours, and then work until 8PM
Now, things are a little different.
I have 2 kids. Manage 3 separate businesses & most nights I’m still on calls or chasing the last few things before bed.
Not complaining. This is the game I chose.
But I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t changed the way I train, think, and move.
I’m no longer an active coach on the gym floor.
I’m leading a team, growing a business, managing people and pressure, and trying to stay sharp enough to be useful in all of it.
And while I still train 3-4 days a week, it’s not how it used to look.
I don’t chase exhaustion. I chase energy.
I don’t train to impress anyone. I train to last.
I don’t need motivation. I need structure that fits.
If you're in a similar place... juggling business, family, and the pressure to be “on” all the time here are a few things that help:
Schedule training like a meeting. Non-negotiable.
Prioritise strength over sweat. It pays off long term.
Stretch while you’re on calls. Walk when you can. Move when you’re stuck.
Don’t eat like you’re on holidays. Stay structured during the week at least
Sleep like it matters... because it does.
You don’t need a full reset.
Just better systems, smarter training, and a mindset that matches the season you’re in.
And if you ever need help finding that, we’ve got a system built for high-performers who still want to feel like athletes.
Even if their day job is now CEO.
Let me know if you want to see what that looks like.
