Such a great way to use up those leftover nuts and seeds! Nothing like a crunchy granola over the top of some yoghurt & berries for a treat 🫐🍓

Because it's basically made from nuts and seeds, it is very nutrient dense, so you wouldn't want to go eating a full bowl, but 30-40g as a topping is perfect.

I've also started mixing through a teaspoon of my vanilla protein into my yoghurt for a little extra protein boost 💪🏼

I'm loving being back in the kitchen and documenting all the recipes I was making off the top of my head 🤣🤣🤣

So if you have a favourite meal or snack and would love a natural, lower carb recipe for it, comment below and I'll add them to my list!

Anna's Low Carb Kitchen is back!!

I'm really excited to share this news with you all, as I know many of you who are following along, have been doing so since the original Anna's Low Carb Kitchen.

I originally started this page back in 2015 😳 with a few (actually a lot) of twists & turns, some breaks, and 2 name changes along the way, I've done a full 360 and are back to my original love and passion of sharing low carb recipes, tips and tricks, that make living low carb (and experiencing the benefits!) easy 💛

It's crazy to think back to those times where so many disregarded low carb as "just another fad diet" or "dangerous" and wrote it off. I always knew it was so much more, and it's pleasing to see so many headlines and studies now reveal the true benefits of reducing carbs and sugar in our diets!

Ten years later, with two little ones in tow, my philosophy around low carb has evolved. I’m so excited to share this new, expanded approach with you. In my younger years, low carb was all about maintaining weight and energy, the goal was “as low as possible.” But now, as a mum in my mid 40s juggling a lot more, it's not so black and white 🤣

✅ Some things are still the same - my love for creating easy, simple, low carb recipes, finding new and wholesome lower carb products, and sharing ways to make your time in the kitchen even more efficient!

❌ Big NO's for me are highly processed low carb foods, anything with crappy ingredients that I don't recognise, protein bars that taste like cardboard and recipes that use a bucket load of expensive ingredients that are not readily available!!!

I'm a tad nervous to be re entering this world of social media 😬 and gosh have things changed!!! Please bear with me as I learn all the new bits and pieces, my posting to start with will be very casual as I ease myself back in, but I'd absolutely love to hear what you'd like me to answer / talk about / share, to help you on your low carb journey.

3 great concepts that will make a big difference to your health, happiness and ability to achieve your health goals.

Tiny changes like this add up to make a huge impact on our overall wellbeing!

What could you implement today?

💕 A short walk in nature at lunchtime or after lunch

💕 Sitting in the morning sun for 10 minutes with your tea

💕 Having a simple goal of adding extra veggies to your dinner

💕 Thinking of yourself as a beginner in this chapter of improving your health, you don't have to have it all worked out right now! Being consistant with little changes will bring the results you desire.

3 ways that boosting your fibre can assist with weight loss & energy levels. ➡️➡️➡️

Your target for Fibre is at least 25-30g of total fibre per day.

Another great (less spoken about) target is to p**p everyday 💩 🤣

Whilst everyones digestion does vary, this is a really good thing to focus on. Keep ramping up your water and fibre rich foods until this is happening!

There's no denying that we are huge fibre fans 🙌

😢 A whopping 70%+ of Aussie adults don't meet their daily fibre intake - leading to sluggish digestion, constipation, a build up of toxins and excess hormones that are not being excreted properly, and in the long term increased risk of heart disease, diabetes and certain cancers.

The good news is that it's relatively easy to boost your fibre (and reap the rewards of better digestion, blood sugar maintenance and your body's natural detox process working as it should!)

Whether it be a nachos bowl or these fajita style plates, so much flavour, so much nutrition to help you feel your best.

We love both the and Mexican seasonings as they both contain no fillers, just the tasty spices :)

Cook up your beef mince, beef strips or chicken, then pile high with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, cheese, salsa, coriander & sour cream... 😋

Save for an easy dinner idea!!

Recreating my fave Grill'd Low Carb Burger at home!

I've long been a huge fan of Grill'd and still are, but today we decided to make burgers at home :)

These Burger Thins have a similar amount of carbs (14g) as the Grill'd low carb ones (but they aren't GF unfortunately, incase you do need that).

I then added beef pattie, tomato, lettuce, mustard, ketchup, pickles, onion & cheese...

DELICIOUS!!!

Save as an easy dinner option!
